Come bug your new MCA {Open}

Mistystripe was in the corner of the medicine den, her den now, as she began to sort the herbs. Aspenheart had taught her the herbs, but she couldn't really remember them all. She knew some simple ones, like thyme to calm a cat down, or goldenrod for infection, but that was about as far as she knew. So basically all she could treat at the moment was a simple thorn in a pad. But it didn't take herbal knowledge to sort. Just put herbs that looked alike together! Yeah.....she was probably doing it wrong.......

She turned around when she was finished and lied down in her nest. It was still so weird. The scent of herbs already clung to her pelt, she had been there for many nights now, but she could not seem to get used to it. And what if a cat really needed help? Would she be able to do what she needed to? Oh stars, already she was terrible at her job.

She stuck her face into her paws, trying to keep herself from screaming in frustration. What made StarClan think a warrior could do a medicine cat's job? She had already trained for many moons to fight, now she had to train for many more moons! But this is what StarClan wanted. She would not argue. Although it certainly wasn't easy. She just needed to learn some more, right? At least she could treat a thorn.

Cloverpaw padded in and was rather surprised - and almost concerned - to see his twin face-down in her paws as she lay in her nest. The silver tabby apprentice's tail was twinging - he was certain he'd slept on it wrong - and he had been hoping to find Aspenheart. The search could wait a moment, though. "Mistystripe? Hey, sis, you alright?" the tom chirruped, welcoming himself into the den and padding towards the side of her nest. He looked at her curiously, with bright, thoughtful amber eyes that glinted slightly with the pain in his kinked tail.

Goldengale hobbled towards the entrance to the medicine cat den, wincing with each step. One of her claws must have gotten caught on something, because good StarClan did it ache. Unable to get twisted around to see it herself with her swollen belly (for StarClan's sake, how large was this single kit going to be??) she had decided to head for the medicine den. Hopefully Mistystripe would be around so they could chat some, as well.

She had been a little surprised when she heard the news and it was confirmed, but Goldengale had been thrilled for her sister. She would do well as a medicine cat, she was sure of it. As she wobbled into the den, however, she found her sister with her head in her paws, Cloverpaw nearby. Concern rocked her continuously forward, shooting a questioning glance to their brother, the pain in her hind paw almost forgotten.

"Hey Mistystripe, what's wrong? Are you alright?" Concern tinged her mew as she sat down next to Cloverpaw, her swollen belly leaving little room for comfort or adjustment.
