Tricky business (closed)

Making his way through the territory, Tinystar let out a sigh. Leaf-Fall was upon the forest and soon, times would become tough, though he didn't know if things could get worse than they had been. But today, he didn't bother dwelling on all that had happened and instead distracted his mind by going on a hunting patrol. If anything could keep the leader from putting his mood down, it was a hunt, and he was determined to stay focused, no matter how hard it was. Since he was alone, it would hopefully be easier, seeing as though it was just him and his thoughts, with no cat to come between that.

Having caught the nearby scent of prey, the little legged tom crouched down as far as his stub legs would go, which meant almost laying on the ground. Stalking forward, a plump, brown mouse was in his line of sight. Stalking forward, Tinystar waited a few moments, his haunches wiggling back and forth. Just a few more moments...

Pouncing, the tom's small paws landed squarely onto the mouse's plump shoulders. With a swift bite to the neck before it could let out a peep, he'd successfully caught his first piece of prey for the morning.

Making his way around the area where the Fallen Oak was, the sound of a bird whistling it's morning song caught his attention. Stalking forward, he soon spotted the bird, which had been mousebrained enough to eat it's meal on the forest floor instead of up in the trees. Waiting a few moments, just like when he'd hunted earlier, he stalked forward, making sure to keep his body as low as possible.

Leaping out from his hiding spot in some brush, Tinystar had jumped just barely too short and missed the bird entirely, sending it to flutter up into the air. Maybe next time.

Continuing to search around, the little leader spotted another mouse and lowering himself, he prepared to jump.

Leaping into the air, the sound from the crunchy leaves under his paws had given the little rodent an advantage and it was already gone by the time he landed. Great StarClan, how hard was it to hunt?

Before he could even try hunting again, a raccoon appeared around the corner of the Fallen Oak, it's fangs barred and bushy tail lashing back and forth. Tinystar was in no shape to fight, but he didn't have a choice, unless he wanted to bring the beast back with him to camp, which wasn't an option.

Knowing he couldn't sit around and do nothing, the tom reared up on his hind legs and sliced at his opponent with unsheathed claws, sending it to screech in pain.

Tinystar used Front Paw Strike, causing 18 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Raccoon

Letting out a yowl of pain from the cat's sharp claws. It hurt, but it wasn't about to back down, not yet anyway. Lunging forward, the raccoon swiped at the feline's side, successful hitting it, though it didn't seem to do much damage. The cat reared up again and it was at that point that the raccoon knew that it didn't have a chance, not on an empty stomach at least.

A Raccoon appeared and used Quick Swipe, causing 20 damage and costing 10 SP.

Just as quickly as it'd arrived, the raccoon scurried off, knowing it was no match even for a cat of that size, leaving Tinystar to continue hunting. Hopefully, it learned its' lesson and wouldn't dare show its' masked face again.
