the flower on the breeze [solo]

Zinnia had been travelling for moons now, watching the seasons come and go as she followed the setting sun at her own pace. It was the marker she'd given herself when she left the Garden - she'd had no destination in mind, after all, with such little knowledge of the wider world; but it provided a hint of stability in a world that seemed to purposefully avoid such a thing, nonetheless.

For the past while, she'd settled in a place the cats called 'Twolegplace', where cats lived in strange dens with creatures called Twolegs and along the thundering Thunderpaths. She'd made a handful of friends, sharing stories of her home and her kithood, but she could feel her paws itching to move on. That is, until she heard whispers of a society of cats beyond the Twolegplace. Her curiosity had overtaken her, and she'd felt the desire to chase after such a place as swiftly as possible, but she'd had to bid her friends farewell first.

With a promise to see them again should she ever return, she was off again with the vague directions she'd received.

Though she had yet to stay in one place for long, she found herself wondering if these cats could change that. She'd mostly felt lonely and isolated, after all; it was what drove her to move on so swiftly. That, and that the world she'd found was seemingly built entirely of stone and strange structures, not grass and dirt and flower petals. There were small patches of such things, but they were slotted between yet more stone.

But from what little she'd heard of these cats, they lived in the world she knew, and so it was with hope that she began her search.
