Harefoot was happy to see the beast's back as it fled from the patrol. He didn't have the energy to celebrate like Duskpaw, though, and instead sank slowly to the ground to try to catch his breath. It was difficult to fill his lungs enough without a sharp pain from his fresh wound cutting his gasps short, but he tried not to be over dramatic about it. The lanky warrior laid on his uninjured side and tried to concentrate on the ground before him. He nodded slightly to the apprentice, wondering vaguely if she was alright in the head, but otherwise didn't concern himself much with trying to speak. Harefoot realized that the adrenaline was draining from his system, and he found himself feeling sore and tired and more than ready to curl up next to Beartooth and Ferretnose and not leave his nest for another season.

As she got back to her paws, Dustcloud's claws flashed in the light. Her heart clenched tightly as the apprentice stood before the badger and swiped at it's nose, her hind muscles preparing to leap into the way to protect her if she needed to. She was too far away, way too far away to help should the badger turn it's powerful paws towards Duskpaw. Relief flooded her as the badger turned and limped away, droplets of blood staining the already colorful leaves underpaw. She sighed heavily, surveying the group as a whole, eyes landing on Harefoot. He had taken the brunt of the attacks, so she quickly made her way to him. As she made her way over, he sank to the ground, his injured side up towards her. It wasn't a pretty sight, he certainly had quite a bit of recovery to look forward to... "Harefoot, I'm gonna take a look, okay? There may be some poking and prodding, but hopefully it won't last long."

She crouched next to the tom, and swallowed hard. This was one of the worst wounds she'd seen, it probably would have been the worst if not for Flintfang's.... The tom's ribs were clearly broken, she mused silently as she ever so gently touched her nose to his side, trying to ignore the strips of wounds left behind by the badger's claws. Once she had confirmed the break, she turned her attention to the scratches. Heading to the base of a nearby tree, she clawed up some large clumps of moss and quickly ran back to where Harefoot was laying, placing the moss over his wounds and pressing with her nose slightly. That would stop the bleeding long enough for them to get back to camp, and the medicine den. In the meantime... She looked around a little better this time, searching for something, anything. A willow tree nearby caught her eye, so she ran over to strip some of the bark, using her claws to grind it up as quickly as she could. That should help ease the pain, and... and.... Paracress! Picking some of the yellow and red tinted flowers, she chewed them into a poultice quickly before mixing it with the ground willow bark, making her way back to Harefoot. She lifted the moss carefully before applying the poultice gingerly and laying the moss carefully back down.

"Paracress will help numb your wounds, while the willow bark will help ease the pain some. We need to get you back to camp though, I have more there that can help. Dustcloud, can you help me? We need to try to keep him off of his feet. Her worried gaze met the older warrior's, before turning to Duskpaw. "You fought well, Duskpaw. Could you help lead us back to camp? Make sure you stay really close, though."

Dustcloud's eyes darted back and forth between the badger and Duskpaw, and a deep sigh of relief followed shortly after the badger's retreat. She watched for a moment as it fled, making sure that it wasn't turning back to do more damage than it already had. With that thought, her gaze quickly shifted to Harefoot, with Mossbloom at his side. "Of c-course, Mossbloom." The senior warrior dipped her head at her request, keeping her eyes trained on Duskpaw as she shifted to support Harefoot with her shoulder. "You all f-fought well. That d-doesn't mean it n-n-needs to happen again, th-though, alright Duskpaw?" A smirk had snuck its way onto Dustcloud's face as she grunted just slightly with the weight of the younger warrior on her back. "I s-suppose we are r-r-ready to set off now, yes?" Nodding her head, Dustcloud gestured for Duskpaw to lead the way as they headed towards camp.
