A Light In The Dark [ShadowClan Medicine Cat Plot]

A LIGHT IN THE DARK

PHASE ONE

In the wake of Scorchstar's death and the blaze that caused it, Mothflame - a newly named medicine cat, despite having been an adult for some time - is wandering the territory alone in search of herbs to refill their lost stock. While she doesn't find the herbs she's searching for, she does come across a small, sickly kit, and in accordance with both the Code and her own personal morals carries it back to camp with her. Thornbriar, now leader, agrees to allow the kit to stay, though for the sake of the kits and queens it's too sick to stay in the nursery at present. Mothflame volunteers to keep it in the medicine den with her, so she can keep an eye on and care for it, and over time comes to view this kit as her child.

Slowly but surely, the kit gets better, and by the time they reach apprentice age they have more or less completely recovered, though still spend most of their time in the medicine den with the cat that raised them. At this point, there is a chance that they may request to become Mothflame's apprentice, or be selected as such via a sign from StarClan - it would make sense in-character, as well, since they would have grown up surrounded by herbs and learning how to use them.

PHASE TWO
(OPTION A)

If the kit gains the position of MCA, Mothflame accepts them as her apprentice and begins training them in the ways of medicine cats. This phase could vary a lot depending on the specific personality and plotlines planned by the roleplayer of the kit, so I'm willing to leave that all open for their interpretation.

PHASE TWO
(OPTION B)

Assuming the kit does not gain the position of MCA, they begin training as a warrior. Depending, their relationship to Mothflame may start to drift, but this is once again up to the roleplayer and the cat's personality, and as such is subject to change and be updated as the plot develops further.
