Hi guys! Lemon here! As most of you in WindClan know, Finchstar has now tentatively opened up the tunnels for hunting and repair. I have also noticed that WindClan has had an influx of apprentices with Barley and Gray's new litter, as well as other kits too. If any of you have ever read "Dark River" in the third Warriors Arc, you'll know that apprentices and tunnels are an incredibly interesting mix; which is why I thought, what could be better than mixing them?
Here's the basis of my idea: As of now, Aspenpaw is journeying with a few chosen warriors to the moonstone so that WindClan can learn the tunneling knowledge of their ancient ancestors. Once they return, they'll share the knowledge with the rest of their clanmates, and WindClan can start to dig and repair the holes under the ground. This will lead to tunnel hunting patrols, as well as secret routes into other territories. Logically, Finchstar would want to keep the apprentices from journeying into the tunnels on their own without supervision, to avoid them getting lost and/or caught in a cave-in. But what would happen if an apprentice didn't listen? One mischievous apprentice convinces the others to journey with him/her into the tunnels alone, and while there, they stumble upon a bigger cave, big enough to walk around and play in. This cave doesn't hold much significance, as it's just a larger section of the tunnel, but the apprentices could make it into something important. Perhaps it's a meeting place to gossip, or perhaps it's a fake camp for a fake clan that the apprentices made up. Maybe they even meet with cats from other clans in this cave, it's up to you!
I was just really inspired by Dark River guys, shhhhh. XD
I will not hold a character in this plot, being that I don't have a WindClan apprentice. But I thought it might be a fun way to increase apprentice-bonds in the clan, as well as provide a mold for some good memory-making. These cats can think back on this when they're older and smile!
It's not really a plot, but more of an idea. Idk. Tell me what you think!
