As Raventail landed on the ground neatly next to her she rushed forward and purred, pushing her nose to his shoulder before backing away. "That was so cool!! You could see everything from up there! Do all of those territories all look the way they do up there? How do they see everything? What does it look like at night? When are we coming here next time? Can we come tomorrow? Please?" Her eyes gleamed as she begged her mentor to bring her again the next day, pushing away the thought that she'd have to once again climb down, that was something that wouldn't come until it was time. At the mention of rabbit-hunting her eyes widened, and she sat down staring up at Raventail intently. "Yes! Umm, please." Barleytuft would have her tail if she didn't mind her manners, so she added it at the last moment.


He trotted off, and she followed behind him, keeping up with his pace while her head swiveled around, taking in their surroundings. He whispered about staying quiet, and being mindful of the wind. Lifting her head, she opened her mouth to respond before remembering his first statement. Her mouth closed, and she nodded, turning her head until her ears ruffled with the wind blowing, and stayed facing that direction. As she took a breath, the scent she knew from the fresh-kill pile in camp hit her nostrils and she barely stopped herself from bouncing in excitement, turning her head to Raventail as he looked to her. She listened intently, her eyes locked on his as he spoke. She copied his crouch, looking back at herself to make sure her position was right. She stayed in the crouch as her mentor continued, saying that she could chase it if it ran, but forbid her from entering a tunnel. Nodding to acknowledge his words, her eyes focused on the area in front of her as she whispered. "Yes, I can.... Where is it though?..."


She scented the air again, and took a hesitant step forward, still staying in the crouch. Then another, and one last step, and a flash of white drew her eyes towards some daisies gathered. In between the flowers sat a single rabbit, delicately nibbling at some of the clover at the base of the daisies. Casting another last look at Raventail, she started to slowly stalk the rabbit, her eyes never leaving it's brown fur. She noted that the flash of white had been from it's tail, and thanks to the wind blowing towards the two cats the creature seemed completely unaware of their presence. She stalked forward, trying to get as close as possible before pouncing. Just before she prepared to make her leap the rabbit turned and locked eyes with her. Goldenpaw froze, one paw in the air, as the two stared at each other before the rabbit took off, racing nimbly across the moor. She sprinted after it, forcing her legs to stretch as far as possible before letting them take the next stride. She raced along behind the rabbit, steadily closing the distance between them as the moor flashed under them, and with a final stride she leaped forward and landed on the rabbit, catching it's throat in her jaws. She missed the landing, and skid a short distance across the moor together as she tightened her grip on the rabbit, killing it in the process. She laid among the grass of the moors shocked for a moment before realizing that she had made the catch and after another couple of heartbeats she stood up shakily, feeling like she looked like Aspenpaw. The two sprints had taken their toll on her stamina, but not her spirit, and she stumbled to meet Raventail carrying the rabbit proudly, tail high. Laying it at his paws, she stepped back and looked at him, her eyes bright through the exhaustion. "I did it!"
