Salmonkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cat's old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" the deputy called out, it was time for the first apprentice ceremony since their return. As he stood on top of the Jaggedrock, he looked around for the kit that was to be apprenticed today.

Ooc: Heck yeah... two first apprentices.

Salmonkit skidded out of the nursery, full speed ahead. The silver tabby tom nearly slammed into Wildstrike, his tail flickering in excitement. "Hiya!" the tom purred, looking around for his father Scorchstar.

Wildstrike smiled gently at the kit before saying, "Salmonkit step forward." He waited for the kit to do as he'd been told to before continuing the ceremony, "You have reached the age of six moons and it's time for you to be apprenticed. Salmonkit, from this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Salmonpaw. Scorchstar will be your mentor. I know he'll be able to pass down everything he knows to you." The tom looked away from the now apprentice and looked around quickly for his brother.

Salmonpaw grinned. An apprentice! For Scorchstar. He would never forget how the leader had saved his life, and lost a life for his. The grey tabby hustled over to his new mentor, and touched noses to his favorite cat in the world.

Scorchstar's chest rumbled with a purr as he climbed down the side of the Jaggedrock to approach his new apprentice -- his adopted son. He hadn't had an apprentice in quite a few moons, so he was definitely looking forward to training him. "I see great potential in you, Salmonpaw. You will make a great warrior in your time. Training begins tomorrow at sunrise."
