However, medicine cats work differently here in WCC. For your cat to become a Medicine cat apprentice, there must be an open slot. Those slots open from time to time and people fill a form and participate to become MCA here. Currently, the position of MCA in RC is taken but in the future, you can still try to go for the spot (there's no need that your cat must be a kit, apprentice or warrior. The only thing that matters is that your cat gets chosen ;D). For now, your kit will have to be trained as a warrior but that can change in the future ;D Hope that can be helpful to guide you :3
