Laurelpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Sitting in front of the group of ShadowClan cats in which he'd gathered together, Daisyflame was ready to perform his first warrior ceremony. He'd never thought he would be doing a ceremony so suddenly and for a few moments, he sat in silence, trying to remember what Scorchstar had said time and time again.

"We gather here today to give one of our apprentices their Warrior name and rank," he began, looking out upon the gathered clan in front of him, a smile on his muzzle. While their lives were different, seeing his clanmates rank up would always bring a smile to his face. "Laurelpaw has proven herself worthy to climb the ranks of ShadowClan and receive her Warrior name," Daisyflame spoke and then paused for another brief moment before continuing.

"Laurelpaw, please step forward."

Once the apprentice stepped forward, the white and ginger tom continued. "I, Daisyflame, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Laurelpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Laurelpaw had blinked upon hearing the start of the ceremony somewhat confused but then when she heard her name. She smiled some and stepped forward quietly looking at Daisyflame"I do"She mewed lifting her head.

Once the apprentice replied, he went on with the ceremony. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Laurelpaw, from this day forward you shall be known as Laurellight. ShadowClan honors your passion and loyalty. Congratulations," he finished. With that, Daisyflame offered a soft bump of his muzzle to the newly named warrior in a quiet form of congratulations as the rest of the clan flocked forwards as well.
