Discovery of Mosskit

One cold winter morning, as a light snow floated to the ground near the Thunderpath a faint, desperate mewling could be heard coming from a small hole in the snowbank. Deep tracks left by a monster would be seen slightly off the Thunderpath, along with the prints of a twoleg that lead to the mound, although the scents would be stale in the still, cold air. Upon investigation of the snowbank, a small, shivering kit would be uncovered looking frightened and confused. After being revealed she goes quiet, blinking up at the other cat with wide eyes at the sudden light as the cold wind cuts through her small frame, stealing her voice from her throat. She presses herself further into the hole and struggles to find her voice.

"P-please... D-d-don't hurt me.... It's so c-cold...." She closes her eyes as the cold and fear takes her over, unable to say anymore.

Falconwing stalked through the snowy forest, searching for prey, when some high-pitched noises hit her ear fur. Mouse? Slipping in the direction, she parted the bush the noises were coming from, and uncovered a tiny, calico kit. Hearing her desperate mewls, Falconwing smiled, remembering Thistlepaw. "There, there, little one. I won't hurt you. You're cold. Too cold for such a little kit." Muttering the last part almost to herself, she gently picked up the little she-kit, beginning to pad in the direction of camp. "No harm will come to you. I'll take you back to my camp. It's safe and warm there."

Mosskit whimpers quietly as she is picked up, but quickly goes limp as she gets carried by the strange she-cat. Sniffling, she tries to catch a glimpse of the one holding her, as well as her surroundings. After some time the kit softly mews. "Where am I? Am I in trouble?..." Her voice trails off, her ears tilting back in fear and her tail curling up towards her belly.

Nearing the camp, Falconwing replied gently. "I'm Falconwing. You're not in any trouble. I'm taking you to a safe place, little one. I'll take care of you." At the entrance, she looked at a grey rouge padding off, before entering.
