"Let all cat's old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" Wildstrike called out as he stood on the Jaggedrock waiting for the clan to gather. He looked around for the kit that would be apprenticed today.

Silverkit trotted up to the Jaggedrock after hearing his deputy's call. He ran through the crowd of cats to stand at the front. He was finally going to be an apprentice!

"Silverkit step forward." he meowed when all cats had gathered. He waited a few moments for the kit a few moments before he continued "You have reached the age of six moons and it's time for you to be apprenticed. Silverkit, from this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Silverpaw. Thornbriar will be your mentor. I know she'll be able to pass down everything she knows to you.". He looked around for his friend, he knew that she had taken over Mothpaw's training now that Poppyheart had disappeared but the apprentice didn't have long until she became a warrior and he knew that Thornbriar could handle two apprentices at a time.

Thornbriar's ears pricked at the mention of her name, and she turned her head to give Wildstrike a curious look. Another one? Her gaze flicked to the kit she was supposed to train. Why was it that she keep ending up having to take care of these little rat things? She winced internally at the realization of how she had acted towards Olivelily once upon a time. She hadn't been the easiest apprentice to handle... Thornbriar supposed that meant this was karma, nipping her in the tail with it's yellowed teeth. With a sigh, she padded over to the newly named apprentice and gave him a once-over. At least Mothpaw came pre-prepared. What was she supposed to do with a literal kit? Did she give it a mossball to play with? Tell it 'okay, pretend it's a mouse' and then let it do kit things? The smoke tabby she-cat was at a complete loss here. She didn't know how to deal with kits! Nonetheless, she dipped her head to touch her nose to Silverpaw's, before turning away.

"Prepare your nest in the apprentice's den, training begins tomorrow at dawn. Be ready."
