Slatepaw's Moonstone Journey

"Slatepaw! It's time to head out!" A familiar tortie was sitting by the camp's entrance, having just called out. She was taking an apprentice to the Moonstone. She still shivered at the thought of going back there but her fears have gotten somewhat better. She had to be strong. For her, that meant not revealing the most hidden emotions. She couldn't be worrying anyone.

A bundle of herbs sat by the medicine cat's paws. She had eaten hers not too long ago. The she-cat began to think deeply and attempt to keep warm as she waited the tom's arrival.

Quickly waking up, the abnormally large apprentice made his way over to Morningpaw, a scowl on his muzzle. Why in the world did they have to wake up so early to go on some journey? Not only was he annoyed by the fact that he had to go on a journey with the she-cat, but also that he ad to meet with StarClan cats. Most apprentices would've been excited, but not him. For him, he could care less and would rather be participating in a battle, but alas, he had no choice. "Let's get going then," he huffed as he stood in front of the she-cat.

OOC: I'm super sorry for the horrible lateness!! This month has been going horrible for me with a lot of roommate troubles! ;-;

IC: "We're not quite ready to head out yet until you eat these." said Morningpaw as she pushed the bundle she had toward the apprentice. "They're traveling herbs. These'll help keep your strength up and make sure you don't get hungry on our journey. I must warn you though, they're rather bitter!" The medicine cat smiled once again before beginning to wait for the tom to eat the plants.

Gulping up the plants as if it were nothing, the large apprentice tried to hide his disgust as much as possible. "Let's get going then," Slatepaw mewed, his pelt itching to begin their journey.

Morningpaw nodded with a small smile. She beckoned for the apprentice to follow her lead. The tortoiseshell cat then exited the camp with her flicking tail behind her.

It had seemed like a fairly quick journey since they weren't terribly far from the final destination. The journey had been most of the time. The medicine cat apprentice occasionally spoke to the tom about where they were. It was important for him to know the territorry beyond the clans'. The she-cat and Burntpaw were at Mothermouth at a good time. Silverpelt was silently greeting them above, having just taken over the sky.

Morningpaw looked behind her and offered the other apprentice a smile as she began to enter the tunnel. "Stay close Slatepaw. It's pretty dark in here. I don't want you to get lost or hurt." The tortie then turned back and proceeded to continue leading the apprentice onward.

The two soon step foot into the main cavern, Moonstone already glowing its mystical hues. The she-cat sat down at the exit and nodded to the other. "Press your nose to the Moonstone, Slatepaw, and a Starclan cat will talk to you. Once your finished, we'll begin to head back home."

Following the she-cat, the two of them reached the dark tunnel that lead to the cave. Entering the cave, Slatepaw had no clue what to expect, seeing as though he didn't believe in StarClan whatsoever. As far as he was concerned, he would just be taking a nap when he got to their destination.

Entering the cavern, a dimly lit rock sat in front of him and listening to Morningpaw, the abnormally large tom let out a huff. Laying down, he touched his nose to the rock and fell into a deep sleep, somewhat curious as to what he would find.
