Bigger than the nursery:

"Alright you little runts. Time to get up and mess with the clan." Despite her chosen words, her tone of voice was kind and motherly, unlike how Russetfang usually spoke. She had grown up as a slightly grumpy and witty she-cat. She didn't take no as an answer. The only ones who could really calm her down was her sister Patchpelt and her ex-mate, Cypresspelt. The tom had passed away not too long ago from an illness. Instead of tearing the entirety of Shadowclan down while carrying her dead mate's kits, her temper had decreased somewhat. She was approachable. She didn't bite off anyone's heads if they spoke with her. She was changed...well slightly changed.

The sleek female got up from her temporary nest in the nursery and nudged the three kits who had been laying beside her. Leafkit was a fluffy she-kit that had the mixed coloring of Russetfang and Cypresspelt. Bluekit was a she-kit that had somewhat her father's coloring. She was slightly tinted a blueish gray. Snowkit was her only tom-kit and he was pure white. Russetfang smirked as they began to open their eyes. The trio were old enough to go play outside.

Patchpelt happily made her way over to the nursery where her younger sister had been resting in for a while. Time was flying for sure. Russetfang already had kits! It felt like just yesterday when the sisters acquired their warrior names together. Aunt Patchpelt was going to help her sister raise the kits as Russetfang's mate had passed away a few moons ago. The kits had been left without a father. Luckily, Patchpelt was ready to wrestle if there was the need.

The warrior entered the den and grinned when she saw her sister standing up and nudging her kits. "Russetfang! Are you going to let them go out today?" she asked as she stared at the three small figures.

"For sure! These little runts need to go out so I can stretch my body. I'm sore from being in the nest for who knows how long." replied the white and ginger mother as she flashed her older sister a smirk.

Patchpelt giggled and rolled her eyes. She then padded up to the groggy kits and purred. "Good morning you three! Hope you're ready for a day of exploring the camp with me!" she spoke excitedly.

Bluekit hissed when another cat came into the nursery and quickly sat down relieved when recognizing the familiar scent of Patchpelt. Mother's words shocked fluffy blue kit little because she had not expected the exit of the nursery so quick. Of course, she was very eager to see what lies beyond her knowledge and to find out where other cats dwell, she was interested especially into leader'den. Imagine her slipping into a big cozy den without the leader noticing her. She looked at her siblings and flickered her tail at them: "Come quickly!" She purred a little quieter: What if our mother changes her mind in some seconds? Let's go, it is only a few mouse-lengths away." She padded forward and put her head out of the protection of the nursery. The world here we go.
