The Not so Cruel and Cold Hearted(closed for Wolven)

Xuexi stood over Lengxue angry or rather enraged as she stared down at her excuse for a daughter. Her tail lashed"That is not how you do it can't you learn anything meanwhile your siblings are much better then you are tou even trying!"She hissed slightly angry her claws digging into her daughter's shoulder until Lengxue pulled free and darted off.

Lengxue winced blood welling up on her shoulder from the long wound from her shoulder and flattened her ears against her head. Her golden amber eyes looking around as she went outside the barn and sat down trying to lick her wound before she heard someone coming and her fur prickled nervously afriad it was her mother.

The large tom had been limping around their camp. Scabs had finally begun coming off of his wounds, and if he ever looked at his reflection he saw the mark his father had clawed into him. It sickened him. His paw was surprisingly alright, yet still hurt to even try to walk on. He wasn't in the best shape of his life, but he was trying.

The screeching of his sister broke through the voices of the crowd of cats in camp. He saw the small cream body of Lengxue running away from Xuexi, hiding from her. He quickly approached. Once he saw her, she was afraid. "No don't be afraid! It's just me." He saw the bleeding claw marks on her and instantly felt hurt tugging at his heart. Like father like daughter he supposed. "Hey... did your mom do that to you?" His voice was quiet and caring. If she was being hurt by Xuexi, he would take her with him. Shade alive or dead, he was leaving. His father had no power over him anymore.

The cream kitten looked to her uncle for a moment letting her curly fur lay flat. Looking up at him she curled her tail around her paws."y...yes mo..momma did this to me"She mewed quietly. Her gaze not leaving her uncle"can...you tell me about the clans...are they as evil as mom claims they are?"She asked.

His gaze widened slightly as she asked about the clans. Ever since Cinderfall had died he had dedicated himself to getting to the clans someday. He was just surprised Lengxue wanted to know about them. "No... no the clans are not as evil as your mother claims. I was once told of the clans by a prisoner named Cinderfall. Clan cats have names like that. Since you're a kit, in the clans you'd be named something like Lengxuekit, or another name. Once you're in training you're a 'paw', and once you're an adult you're a 'Warrior'. Then you get your full name. The clans are the way they are because they're closed off to the rest of the world, and are wary of strangers. They'd never go out of their way to hurt outsiders though. I was told that Jaystar, the leader of Riverclan, was a good and fair cat. My father was just power hungry, and your mother believes that Jaystar is evil, and therefore the entire clan is evil. I can tell you that it is a lie though! They have families that they're protecting just like we do. I'm planning on leaving the Regime to go to them, and soon. If you're interested, you can come with me. If you're not, just don't tell your mother for my sake. Please." As he had gone on, his voice had gotten increasingly desperate. He just wanted to be free, free from this place. He wanted Lengxue to be free too.

Lengxue blinked and listened her tufted ears pricked slowly as she heard him explain it the best he could. Her eyes sparkled a bit in interest and eagerness at the prospect of getting free from her mother's anger. She only got angry and angrier."I wanna go with"She mewed determined

A small nod came from brown tabby tom. "We'll leave soon. I'll get you before we leave. Say goodbye to your siblings and friends but subtly, I don't want them knowing what you're going to do. If any others express interest in coming with you then tell them about what we'll be doing." A small flick of his tail tapped the top of Lengxue's head, and he padded off.

"Ok...will do"Lengxue mewed quietly smiling some she padded back inside..
