Little Jay(closed for Jay Bord)

Littlestream pulled herself from her nest that morning and thought about going to see her father. With everything going on she felt maybe she could only ask him if he wouldn't mind going on a walk with her. She hadn't soent much time with him being as he was clan leader he was almost always busy she thought. Though she had news she wanted to tell him and figured having a father daughter moment might be a good chance to tell him. Flicking her tail nervously she padded to the leader's den lingering outside of it for a moment"dad...Jaystar may I enter?"She asked quietly.

The tom lifted his head from his moss bed, at first, a little scared but as soon as he recognized his daughter's voice, he calmed himself. "Of course, sweetheart. Come in." He purred stretching his large body to welcome Littlestream. To be honest, he would have let her in even if she didn't ask for it. After all, they were family and Jaystar loved all of his kits.

Littlestream knew he would have invited her in regardless she just found respectful to ask instead of just walking in. When she heard his voice saying she could come in she pushed her way in quietly and smiled some"I um wanted to see if you wanted to spend some time together if you have the time.."She mewed wanting to spend time with her father because it had been so long and because she wanted to share the news that she was expecting kits. She just wasn't sure how he would act that it was Starlord's.

OOC: Btw, this should take place after Starlord's leaving since that is already official ;D

IC: The tom just smiled and came close to her, giving the she-cat an affectionate lick on her forehead. "I would love to. What do you wanna do? Just chat, eat or go for a walk?" He mewed. Scorchclaw had been dealing with patrols today so the leader had extra time to spend with Littlestream. It had been a while since the last time they truly had a moment of father and daughter together.

Littlestream thought for a moment"we could go for a walk after we eat if you want"She mewed . she hadn't really thought of what they could do she knew she needed to talk to him though. Because Starlord left and that meant there wouldn't be a father for her kits which worried her.

The tom agreed and nodded. Accompanied by his daughter, the leader of Riverclan made his way to the fresh-kill pile. There, he picked a small water rodent with his jaws and dropped it in front of the silvery she-cat, pushing it closer to her as he laid down. Due to his leadership position, the tom had the obligation to eat last in his clan so his clanmates could have a piece of food to feed their bellies. Jaystar stayed by her side as she ate the mouse, enjoying the fresh breeze and the occasional rays of the sun. "How life has treated you, Littlestream? Are you enjoying your life as a warrior?" He mewed casually with a gentle smile.

Littlestream folloerd her father to the fresh kill pile and grabbed her something small. As she settled down she was quiet for a moment"Its treating me alright I suppose..."She mewed smiling some before she said"what with me expecting and all I'll need to go to the nursery soon"She purred quietly saying the sentence almost casually as she took a bit of the fish she grabbed she let her blue gaze look to her father. To see how he would react before she would bring up who the father was.

When the tom asked her how she was going, he expected a "fine" or "everything is good, dad". He could have never guessed that his daughter would tell him that she was pregnant. The tom's face changed from surprised to a one full of joy and delight. Her daughter was going to have kits! "Littlestream, that's wonderful! When did it happen?"

Littlestream purred happily at her father's joy before she sat up a bit more"Just before Starlord left is when I found out....but..."She was quiet for a moment wondering how he would even feel about what she said next"His the kits father...Starlord is"She mewed looking up at Jaystar. She would see what he would do before she would mention that she would want him back for their kits but she didn't know if she could make such a demand

The tom's face once again changed suddenly. His wide smile disappeared yet he didn't show up as angry or mad. He was just... shocked and disturbed. Jaystar flinched and looked at his daughter, perplexed. Why him, from all the cats in the clan? But no... that was not really what bothered him. He wasn't really annoyed by the fact that she was going to have kits. Those were wonderful new. What truly made him feel uneasy was the fact that Starlord used his daughter just to have some fun for a night! He didn't love her... he didn't want to have a family with her. If he had some little bit of respect for the loner, it was all gone now. It made him feel sick just to think that he loved Goldeneye yet he still went and had kittens with her foster daughter! "I... I understand..." He mewed softly, trying to calm down the rising anger that was started to appear. Jaystar wanted to just run and smack Starlord's face.

She seen the changes in her father's face all to well and she was quiet for a long moment her tail curling a bit tighter around her for a moment. She closed her eyes for a moment looking to the half eaten fish at her paws as she spoke her next words carefully" He said he wanted to be there when the kits were born...but that was before he left"She mewed quietly"will you allow him to come back ...just for the kits...for a little while"She mewed quietly steeling her nerves she looked back up  at her father. It was large request but in her eyes she was scared at least to raise the kits alone,scared that the kits would never know their father,she was just sxared and worried for what laid ahead.

The tom didn't say a thing during the few moments of tense silence and just looked at his own paws, trying to not lose control over his emotion. No, he had to be better than that... for Littlestream, for her kits. But when the she-cat spoke one more time, Jaystar couldn't give her what she wanted. The leader lifted his head and looked into her eyes, serious, strict yet, at the same time, with an expression that showed how much he wanted her to understand what he was about to say. "I'm sorry, sweetheart... but I can't allow that. Something that just happened one night, in one moment... Starlord didn't do it for love and to be honest, I hardly believe he actually cares about making a family with you, to take you as your mate. If he would have wanted that... he would have said so when I told him he had to leave. For what you tell me, for what I've seen... he might have been good with the... rogue kits... yet he is definitely not a good mate, not a loyal one." The tom mewed, taking a glance at the medicine cat den, remembering the feelings Starlord had for Goldeneye. How could he do this? How could he make his daughter pregnant when he was in love with another cat?

The silvery tom returned his gaze to his daughter, placing one paw over hers. "Look, Littlestream... you're not alone. Those kits won't be alone here. Riverclan is their family, me, your siblings and the rest of the queens will be there for you to raise them. You don't need to be afraid... you're strong and your kits will be too. You don't need Starlord."

Littlestream saw as he looked to his paws and had to keep her ears from flattening against her head as he heard what he said."I...i know he doesn't love me....i know he loves Goldeneyes but he still promised to be there for the kits"She mewed very quietly her voice cracked a bit as she openly admitted that she knew and it hurt. She had fallen for a second tom and now was exoecting kits because she loved foolishly."but what about the kits they won't have a father....what am i supposed to tell them?"She mewed nervous as she looked back up at her father

The tom couldn't feel worse. How dare him?! That fox-heart just played with his daughter's heart, breaking it apart because he just wanted to have fun one night. It was disgusting. Jaystar pressed his head against the fur of her neck, nuzzling her lovingly, trying to comfort her troubled mind and heart. "Don't you worry... Many cats have grown without a father, like me. As long as they have you and rest of their family, they will be loved... they will be fine. Is up to you if you want to tell them the truth about Starlord... but think about it carefully... what will the clan say once they find out they are the kits of a loner? That you took him as your mate one night? I want the best for you... and I want to protect you and the kits." He mewed, truly concerned.

Littlestream was quiet relaxing some as her father comforted her. She listened to his words intently. She understood his words about the kits if the clan found out about her having kits with the loner even though he was in camp it was no excuse. Her ears pinned against her head"I...I won't tell them then...not until they are older and ask"She mewed quietly a bit more confidently "I...know and i was foolish... To fall for him"She mewed quietly.
