Will I Fade? [CLOSED]

《ooc》《ooc》continuation of this. i guess this will have happened maybe just before the lichenmask war?

Aching.
Shaking.
Breaking.

Only scarcely maintaning consciousness, Hollowpaw was sprawled gracelessly on the clammy soil, the harshly bleak mist shielding him from vision. His husky figure convulsed repeatedly, each spasm producing searing agony, like his flesh was being slashed at internally. Every breath demanded such a breathtaking amount of the sparse storage of energy he clutched so dearly. Every infinitesimal jerk or twitch provoked yet another excruciating wave of fresh torment to crash onto him.
Where would I go to, if I die? Will I merely drift away, a wisp in the fog? Will I fade, knowing I had never earned my warrior name? If StarClan's there at all, how would I reach Silverpelt? The stars have vansished, and so will I..

"H-Help.."

Ravenpaw trotted along silently with the patrol, ears and nose straining for the scent of prey. But, as they grew closer to the Thunderpath, another scent hit her sensitive nose. And, a faint cry for help managed to make it's way past her ear fur. Hollowpaw? She turned her attentions to the patrol, checking to make sure she was still with them. "Hollowpaw is near the Thunderpath. I heard him call for help." With that, she moved at the quickest pace she was yet comfortable with towards his scent. She stopped when she felt her paws brush his familiar pelt. She felt something sticky, and warm. Blood. She ran her paws quickly through his pelt, finding many more places. She flicked her ears back, attempting to figure out how close the patrol was. No matter. They would arrive when they would arrive. She leaned close to his ear. "I'm here, Hollowpaw. Who did this to you?

Leading a patrol through the territory and to the Thunderpath, Daisyflame's ears perked as Ravenpaw spoke. Listening closely, he heard the apprentice's plea for help as well, and following behind the she-cat, the two of them arrived upon a bruised and bloodied Hollowpaw. "What happened?" he mewed, alarm in his tone. Did another cat do this to him? Or maybe a predator?

Morningpaw had tagged along with Daisyflame and Ravenpaw but she had strayed a bit so she may gather some much needed herbs. Her blue gaze looked around for some comfrey root when she heard her clan-mates' distressed voices moving away from her in a rush. What could they have spotted? The medicine cat stopped her search and began to follow them with nervous steps. As she approached closer and closer, her nose picked up the scent of blood. Her eyes widened and she picked up her pace.

The she-cat soon arrived and what she saw made chills run up and down her spine. What had happened? Hollowpaw looked horrible. Ravenpaw and Daisyflame were trying to help the disoriented tom and trying to ask what happened. She run up to the tom laying on the ground. The apprentice then began to inspect the tom for any major injuries that needed to be stabilized before they could bring him back to camp. After a few moments of analyzing, she concluded that his worst wound was the one on his belly. It was deep. The slashes on his forehead were also to be somewhat treated then and their. He also looked and acted dizzy and had a painfully bent tail. Those she was going to take care of back at the camp as well as the other wounds. "Daisyflame, can you move him a bit farther from the Thunderpath? We'll take him back to camp after I stop the blood from flowing anymore. Oh! Ravenpaw, can you keep him calm? I'll be back with some cobwebs and other herbs i'll need when we get back." Soon after, the medicine cat rushed away in search of the needed plants.

Her first stop had been to a more forested area of Shadowclan where she could find ivy leaves. When the leaves had been found and woven to make packages to carry herbs easily, she ran back to where she had spotted cobwebs earlier. She gathered a generous amount and soon made a few turns to gather up some sticks and a nice pawful of bindweed. Her eyes darted around and they soon lit up when she spotted the comfrey root from earlier. She packed it into one of the bundles and began to sprint over to the shallow marshes. There, she gathered horesetail. Finally, she picked up some ragwort leaves, some stinging nettle, and catchweed. Once her bundles were nice and full, she picked them up as well as the sticks and ran back to the others.

When the medicine cat was a few lengths away, she placed down the packages and sticks and grabbed some of the cobwebs. She walked up to Hollowpaw and began to carefully press the webs onto the apprentice's worst gashes. After they were secure, she nodded to Daisyflame and beckoned him to bring the injured tom back to camp speedily. "Let's go Ravenpaw. We need to hurry a bit so that I can treat Hollowpaw's injuries fully as soon as possible." Then, the tortie began to walk in the direction of the camp.

Ravenpaw sighed in relief at the arrival of her medicine cat and friend, and nodded at her instruction, curling up next to Hollowpaw, muzzle curling ever so slightly at the feel of the warm, sticky blood on her pelt. Her ears pricked as she heard Morningpaw's hurried pawsteps approaching again, and moved away from Hollowpaw so as to give her plenty of room. "Yes, Morningpaw." She mewed. She didn't want to leave Hollowpaw's side, but she had to leave him to help him. Following the sound of Morningpaw's trotting, she bounded along, stress leaking into her gait.

this was fun to write, it's fun writing from a disoriented cat's view haha

It's her.

That voice.
That oh-so mellifluous voice.
The mellow lilting of her melody resounded through him, a ripple of equanimity trickling into his veins. Instantaneously, only a resonant toll vibrated inside his ears, sonorous and silvery. A celestial blessing had befallen upon him. The harrowing scores that had been inflicted on him relieved, solely alleviated by her phrases.

How did you ease my wounds-?
Arhhggg, I think-
I think I love you.
Wait,
What?

But the cure was only temporary, before the other voices joined.

Who was that?
It was him! That scent, he recognised it.
It was his mentor.
And the other cat?
That was..
Herbs?

His vision was hazy. Everything was amorohuous.

I don't understand..

Gagh,
What?
I don't-
I don't remember.
It was-
Yes.
It was her.
The storm.
She-
She did this.

Wait,
what storm?

Ahhggg..

Everything was vague and nebulous. What had happened?

"I.. I think.. it.. it was..

It.. it was her..
It was the lightning..
It was the storm.

IC: Nodding his head to Morning paw, Daisyflame leaned down and grabbed hold of Hollowpaw's scruff. As carefully as possible, the warrior followed the apprentices back to camp, trying to keep a steady pace but not cause anymore pain to the apprentice that was in his jaws. Whatever had happened to him, it seemed pretty serious and he would make sure to keep any eye out for any suspicious activity by the borders.
