return of the lion (CLOSED)

-I´m just going to take some fresh air, i´ll be back soon, i promise!-

Liontail padded out from the medicine den, he had fallen ill for a good while, lucky him it wasen´t something so dangerous, now he was better but he still had to sleep in the medicine den until he had fully recovered.

He sighed, his ears dropping.

-Stars, i wanna go out and hunt, the camp needs the prey... but i can´t deny doing nothing and sleep all day wasen´t the best hehehe-

He chuckled to himself, being lazy again like when he was a kit was fun, but sooner or later he would have to return to his duties.

He looked around, searching for his father.

Scorchfang quickly spotted his eldest son was now outside the medicine den, and he grinned widely. He had become so terribly worried and concerned for Liontail’s well-being once he had fallen ill, but it seemed he was starting to recover slowly but surely. He excused himself from where he was playing with a few kits outside the nursery and rapidly approached his son to nuzzle muzzles together. ”Liontail! Oh, I’m so glad to see you’re doing better. How are you feeling?”

Liontail turned to see his father, smiling wide and went with him, purring loudly and nuzzling back.

-Oh dad, i´m so happy to see you, i wanted to come out sooner but i was so ill, i also wanted to Hunt and patrol with the other warriors- he said, purring -i feel better, i think son i´ll be able to return to my duties- 

"Don't worry, I understand. You just focus on getting well."

"Scorchfang!" a new voice rung out through the clearing, and Scorchfang turned his attention to his two youngest sons running up to him. Well, one was running, but the other was following at a more leisurely pace. "Scorchfang, you should've seen it! I was out hunting with Orchidpaw, Sparkpaw, Daisyflame, and Wildstrike -- Froststone would've come, too, but he was too busy organizing patrols -- and I caught this huge rabbit!"

"It was pretty incredible," Orchidpaw agreed calmly, though his heterochromic eyes shone with all the love and pride he could possibly feel for his littermate. "He was so generous as to offer the feast of a piece of fresh-kill to the elders."

"But of course! After all, Curlyfeather, Rowantalon, and Cedarstorm had done so much for ShadowClan during their time, so it was an obvious decision I could've made! Nyah-hah-han!~"

Scorchfang beamed down at his ginger-and-white son, his own amber eyes glowing akin to Orchidpaw's. "I am so happy to hear that, Poppypaw. Well done. Oh! Orchidpaw, Poppypaw, I have someone I want you to meet. This is your older brother Liontail. He was sick for a long while, and he still has a long ways left to go before he fully recovers, so that's why you haven't been able to see much of him."

"Wowie! Hello, Liontail! I am Poppypaw, though you may also refer to me as the Great Poppypaw!" Poppypaw puffed out his white chest.

"Heya, new bro. Name's Orchidpaw. Nice t' finally meetcha," Orchidpaw meowed with a greeting nod.

Liontail gave a step back at the approach of the two young apprentices, listening, smiling softly at their good job… but he then looked at his father with wide eyes, surprised, so he had two younger brothers now? and they were apprentices? stars, he really did took a long time off.

He softened his expression now, looking at the two.

-Well this is truly a  claw-some surprise for me heheheh, my family is growing! it´s nice to meet you two, i hope when i get better we can go Hunt and patrol together, i´m paw-sitive it´s going to be fun- 

Orchidpaw's eyes lit up again and he looked up at his older brother with amused delight. "Hey, those were actually purr-etty good. I have a feeling the time spent with you will be quite a-mew-sing to say the least."

"Oh, for the love of--!" Poppypaw growled, glaring at Liontail. "Now look at what you've done, you've gone and corrupted Orchidpaw! Now he'll be insufferable!"

"Aww, don't take it out on Liontail, Pop, lose the cat-titude."

"Orchidpaw, knock it off!"

Liontail purred in delight, smiling wide seeing one of his brothers is a pun master like him! he gave his father a look of "oh this is going to be FUN!"

-Relax Poppy, little orchid here just saw the purr-fect oportunity hehehe… but meow, seriously… i´ll try to recover faster, i can´t wait to go out with you two- he smiled warmly at the two.

Poppypaw huffed irritably, but nevertheless he grinned. "Well, I can't wait to hunt and patrol with you, either, new older brother!"

"Yeah, neither can I," Orchidpaw added with a sly grin. "I'm sure the experience will be purr-iffic."

"Okay, that's it!" With a playful caterwaul, Poppypaw pounced on his littermate and began tussling with him.

"Oof! A-Ah! Hey, don't do that, it t-tickles! C'mon, bro!"

Scorchfang purred with amusement and turned back to Liontail. "I have a feeling you're going to have a splendid time with these two troublemakers, Liontail."

Liontail purred in amusement, watching the two fight, he chuckled, turning to see his father.

-I´ll make sure to protect them as much as i can dad, i promise-

He then lowered his ears, noticing his fever starting to rise, he had to return to the medicine den-

Scorchfang noticed as well, and he turned to his younger sons. "Okay, Orchidpaw, Poppypaw, your brother has to go back inside and rest, so say goodbye."

"Oh, okay!" Poppypaw leaped off of the now breathless Orchidpaw and grinned up happily at Liontail. "I hope you recover really soon, older brother! I'll be sure to visit you much more often and bring you lots and lots of yummy fresh-kill that I catch! And I'll make sure Orchidpaw visits you, too!"

"Of course I'll visit, bro," Orchidpaw mewed, climbing back up to his paws and approaching his older brother. "Nothin' would keep me away from my cat-mazing older bro."

"That does it!" Poppypaw yowled, turning on his littermate and beginning to chase him around camp. "Your belly is mine, Orchidpaw!"

"C-C'mon, Pop, can't you take a joke? St-Stay away from my belly!"

Scorchfang chuckled and shook his head, then nuzzled Liontail's cheek. "Rest well, Liontail. I'll see you soon. I love you."
