Gentle paw-steps:

It was early in the afternoon. The medicine cat could tell despite the chilling red darkness around them. Froststone had offered to go herb hunting with Morningpaw so the she-cat was waiting patiently by the camp entrance for the deputy to appear. She hoped that they'd find a good amount of each of her needed herbs.

Froststone had gladly accepted the offer Morningpaw gave him to help look for herbs. He didn't know her very well, and he supposed it'd be good to get to know her now. It was better to have a trained cat with her anyway, due to the fact she was their only Medicine Cat and that the territory was dangerous with Shade possibly on the prowl.

His white fur gave a pinkish hue as he approached the smaller molly, a rather serious expression on his face. His fur had already been ruffled from grooming by the rather cold breeze that passed through camp. "Good morning, Morningpaw. Are you ready to go? You'll have to tell me what the herbs that we're looking for look like so I can help you efficiently." Despite the coldness in his expression, his eyes held a kind, almost warm glow to them.

"Good morning to you too Froststone! First, we need to find some comfrey root. It's the least of what I have. It's the root of a plant with small, bell-shaped flowers. We can find it near damp grass." Morningpaw said with gleaming eyes. She was proud to have remembered all the details. It took her quite a while to memorize it all. The work paid off it seems. The she-cat then smiled and nodded to the tom. She was ready to head out.
