Fun and Games [open]

Hardly discernible amongst the heavy shadows that laid entrenched within the Nursery, the only indication that Galekit was actually settled somewhere within the thick shade was the gleam of phosphorescent eyes. The little smoke tabby's gaze strayed to a single vibrantly colored leaf that drifted from the slight gaps in the ceiling above him, a brief glimpse of interest flashing within his expression. The Eclipse had set the entire Clan on edge, for reasons that didn't quite register within his developing little mind. It had happened so quickly after he had opened his eyes that the dismal settling just seemed... normal. Why was every cat so upset? Between the hushed whispers and the odd stares tossed in his direction, you'd almost think that something bad had occurred!

Peering outside of the thickly woven reeds that formed the nursery, the young tom gazed at the desolate and Leaf-Fall barren camp with wide, unblinking eyes. With a starkly hesitant movement, Galekit prodded at the leaf that had finally settled upon the dry earth outside of the Nursery, clearly unsure of whether or not to give chase to the bright new toy.

Pantherkit sat nearby, fluffy tail swishing back and forth. He was still furious about his demotion, but acting out would only prolong it, like Flamewish had said. He looked down at the much younger kit playing practically at his paws, and the kit's overall energy reminded him of his own when he was that small. The gray and black tom tried for a smile at Galekit. After all, maybe friends would be useful, especially ones a lot smaller and weaker than himself. "Hey there. You know, I have a much better toy than that little leaf." He flicked his tail a few times, attempting to keep a friendly posture. "Wanna play?"
He looked down for a moment hesitantly, wondering if the kit might be a bit too big to play chase-the-tail. He shook the thought away, after all, he was already seven moons, and this kit was maybe three at most.

Flowerpaw padded up to the kits. "Can I play with you guys?" She purred. The silver tabby needed to keep her mind off of everything happening.

Galekit's expression was heavy with a fabricated sense of amicability as he blinked back at Pantherkit, the fictional wheels within his mind obviously turning. Although Finchstream had raised his entire litter like her own, most kits had rarely fraternized with them due to their unfavorable outsider origins- why would they start acting nice now? It didn't make sense, but yet again seemingly nothing did. The little smoke tabby's ears flicked apprehensively as he eventually took a tentative step out from within the shelter of the Nursery. A murky blue gaze rotated in its seemingly continuous act of peering at the two new faces who had appeared before him. It felt strange to be conversing with cats outside of Ivypaw, Sparkpaw or Berrypaw.

"I don't know any fun games." Galekit eventually spoke up in a rather plain voice, gaze briefly darting between Pantherkit and Flowerpaw once more.

Pantherkit chuckled a bit. "What, you think I'm going to eat you? You don't have nearly enough meat on that scrap of a body. Why don't we play Battles? It's really simple game, all you have to do is pretend to be a Clan, and we battle each other! I call ShadowClan!" The large tom pounced at Galekit and batted his ears with a big, soft paw.

The rather tall, white apprentice moved forward quietly. His gaze was rather stone-like as he watched Pantherkit play with Galekit. Pantherkit had recently been demoted from apprentice due to his willingness to go too far when fighting. He'd hope that would not happen again. Inwardly he sighed, he was Berrypaw's friend. He should really be making friends or at least attempting to with Berrypaw's siblings. With that thought, he looked at the three cats nearby. Aiming his gaze at Galekit, he introduced himself. "Hello. I'm Icepaw, one of your brother's friends. Perhaps I could assist in some games? Battles is an excellent one though. If you want, I could be one of your enemies?" Of course, upon saying that he realized that asking to be someone's "enemy" was maybe not the best way to make friends. "Or I could be an ally, you may choose." He added that hastily, blue and amber eyes staring angerly at his own paws.

His tail swished with a newfound fervor, the possibility of a play fight was exciting to the still young tom. He hadn't play fought in quite a while, even after gaining his apprenticeship. Then if Galekit fought well, perhaps he would truly be of use as a friend as well. Friends were necessary for life, at least that's what Aspenstrike had told him.

After spending the majority of his early days getting effectively crushed beneath Berrypaw's weight and callous movements, it was merely an instinctual reaction on Galekit's behalf to immediately go limp under the unfamiliar strain of unnecessary weight. Toppling backwards with a singular huff being thrust from his lungs at the collision, the smoke-dusted tabby was quick to fend off any further movement's on Pantherkit's behalf by lightly pressing back with a rear paw. The sudden fixation and attention was still quite strange and bemusing at best, but at least now he could focus upon something other than the unpleasant ordeal of talking. Toes flexing lightly against Pantherkit's jaw in a bid to keep from getting his dwindling attention to be used against him, the young tom's head turned slightly to catch a proper glance of the latest speaker.

The recognition he felt in regards to Icepaw was limited at best- Galekit had often seen the pale-furred tom trailing alongside his littermate, but that had been the extent of their interactions. Fictional wheels jarred and churned once more, large ears twitching briefly as the young tom contemplated the pale Apprentice's words. "Alright," The initial answer was as tentative as ever, "An ally then." Not even constantly getting tossed about by his littermates could offer an advantage against two others.

"I'll be... ShadowClan" Flowerpaw mewed. "RiverClan scum! I'm here to take over your clan! ShadowClan, attack!She fake-growled. She scampered onto a tree stump and shook her tail, looking ready to pounce.

"Attack!" Pantherkit hurled himself at Icepaw, fluffy, bushed-up fur making his already large form appear almost warrior-size. He tackled Icepaw in an attempt to pin him to the ground.

Icepaw blinked idly as he listed to Flowerpaw declaring her "allegiance" to Shadowclan. He paid little attention to her, watching the gray and black spotted Pantherkit ready himself to attack. Once he saw Pantherkit would be flinging himself his way, he readied himself as well. Pantherkit wasn't quite as big as the tom, just due to genetics. His form was quite large and quite fluffy, making him appear to be a formidable foe. As Pantherkit pounced at him he backed up suddenly, having already seen what he was doing. A small smirk came to his face, fighting was fun, especially when you knew tactics! The large white tom countered quickly, speeding over to Pantherkit's right side, then coming down gently on top of him. His tufted paws were cautious as he batted at his opponent, not wishing to hurt him.

As he did this, he chanced a glance at the dark gray kit nearby battling Flowerpaw. "How are you faring Galekit? Have you defeated "Shadowclan" yet?" Icepaw's tone was polite, yet playful. He just tried to be pleasant and appealing to the kit. After all, he did want to be Galekit's friend.

Pantherkit's ears flattened as Icepaw pinned him. Borrowing a move from Galekit, he used a front paw and struck upwards forcefully, paw slamming into Icepaw's chin. He then struggled, doing his best to get out of Icepaw's grasp. Fighting is so hard when you can't use claws or teeth. "Finally! A worthy opponent!l Pantherkit chuckled, hiding his frustration.

Ooc: Yes I just made a Tai Lung reference. Yes I watched Kung Fu Panda. Yes I liked it.

Dark fur heavy with an unpleasant dusting of sandy earth, Galekit's thick fur stuck up in awkward tufts as he drew himself upwards and towards the stump that Flowerpaw was settled atop in a surprisingly fluid movement. Despite the ensuing chaos of mock battle, he couldn't help but shake the unease that drifted after him in a perpetual state of constant adherence. Quickly abandoning the concept of trying to find a place within the already greatly limited space presented by the rotting tree stump, the dark-furred kit merely halted a short distance away from the ancient corpse of the tree. Reaching out with a surprisingly swift movement, he moved to hook Flowerpaw's forepaws out from below her- a move that Starlord had shown him on the passing occasion.

The sudden movements sent the stubbornly lingering coating of dust up into the air around Galekit, interrupting his immediate response to Icepaw's inquiry in the form of a sharp sneeze, "Fine, I think!"

Flowerpaw jumped down, careful not to tackle the kits. She stifled a purr of amusement as the kit tried to do a battle move. A strange one, one she hadn't been taught. She made herself fall to the ground, sending up a small puff of sand. "Ah! You got me! ShadowClan, retreat!" She got up and fake-limping back onto the short stump.

Ooc: XD I love how Gale and Flower are all cute, and then we have Panther and Ice trying their best to kill each other without claws or teeth

The pale tom smiled at Galekit, the sneeze was one of the most adorable things he had ever witnessed in his life. "That's excellen-" suddenly his head snapped back as he felt a blow to his chin. The grey and black spotted "kit" had wriggled from his grasp. He listened to the chuckle, pleased to know he was a worthy opponent. Was that apprentice from Shadowclan not enough for you? Icepaw staggered back for a moment, getting into a more defensive stance. He may as well allow Pantherkit to try attacking him. If they were play fighting he may as well be fair about it.
