Silence is deafening (Closed)

Normally, the silence of the night was a comfort. Stars shining brightly above the canopy of the forest, bringing light to the sky and lifting his heavy heart from the fears and concerns of the day. Even in the gloom of rain or storms, the moon still shone. Brought comfort beyond the clouds. Not this night. Marshstorm watched in discomfort as the world tinted with red was once again bathed in the eerie light. This was not the comforting night he was used to. Now the shadows that normally felt calm and quiet loomed with danger.

It was as if any moment he expected a Dark Forest cat to leap from the ground. He hated the feeling. It was unfamiliar and made the nights easily as stressful as the days. Even the clearing where he had sought solace and comfort from the stars in his darkest hours was filled with the gloomy redness. Stars hidden and refusing to come out. As though StarClan had been chased off from the very sky. If the Dark Forest could do that... what else could it do?

Could it end the entire clans? His pelt bristled at the thought as he flicked his tail, dislodging a firefly that barely moved. As though it too weighed heavily in the glumness of it all.
