The Dark Jem(For Twisted Queen and any windclan cat that wants to join in)

It was scary everything made the poor kit jump. What would have been cream colored kitten soft fur ,with dark brown socks,tabby markings,tail tip and patches by her eyes with white ear tips,nose blaze,tail tip and white toes, was washed in a red hue turning her fur colors of red orange pale red and deep red but what stuck out the most was the darker red color that seemed to cling to her fur. It made her fur spike out and her small eyes wide with fear. She still wondered how she had gotten as far as she had but she she seen happen to her parents c ouldnt be unseen and fear courses through her unending. Tears mixed with the sticky red substance that spike her fur and made her seem darker then she appeared.mommy.....daddy"She mewed knowing she wasn't calling for them as she was more crying then anything. She had stumbled once more before she fell into a thicker patch of grass were she stayed her small tail curling around her unsure of where she really was.

Swiftstep had taken a small patrol out consisting of Twistedtail and Pigeonstorm plus himself. The trio were walking through the territory, heading over to the Thunderpath border when the deputy stopped in his tracks. Small kitten cries had caused his sudden halt. He turned to the others and beckoned for them to follow.

Eventually they reached the source of the cry. It was a blood-covered kit looking around dazed and confused. It's faint scent was foreign, not of any of the 5 clans. It must be a kittypet's kit or maybe a rogue's kit. Possibly a loner's. The tall tom's amber eyes softened as he bent down to inspect the poor fluff ball. "Hey there. How did you get here little one? Where are your parents?" His voice was gentle and inviting. He didn't want to cause more fright to the already scared kit.

Jen's green eyes were wide and fearful as she looked up at the tom as he came over. She back up for a second her body pressed into the ground tears still mixing with the blood on her face m...my parents....no please leave them alone!"She squeaked shaking her head"i...they are gone"She whined.

The tom frowned as she said that her parents had died and pressed his nose to the kit's forehead as a way to calm her down. "Nobody's going to hurt you here little darling. I'll take you back to our home so you'll be safe and warm." the "our" was said while looking to the warriors behind him. He picked up the kit by the scruff as gently as he could then signaled to the others to follow him back to camp. He was going to make sure this kit was secure and welcomed in Windclan. She also needed new parents. He wondered who'd be willing to take her in as their own.

The little kit's eyes widened for a moment when he pressed his nose on hrr forehead calming her just a little. She blinked as he said hom and warmth and she blinked letting him pick her up as she pondered what was going to happen next.
