| An albino fluffy kitten poke her head out from the den. Today would be her first time out of the nursery and she was eager to explore but she was also really nervous too. Her bluish pink eyes wide and excited as she stepped outside. "Wow everything is so big"She said quietly smiling some before she looked around. | Amberpaw had been replacing the moss in the elders' nests all morning. She was happy to do it, as she knew how much elders had done for the Clans and could still teach them, but she still wished that some other apprentice could do the job. She wanted to be back out in the forests hunting for and learning about herbs with Mintwhisker.
The golden tabby medicine cat apprentice had just dumped one of the old nests outside near the dirtplace and was returning to the medicine den for more moss when a small white bundle of fur collided with her side. Amberpaw leaped sideways and let out a startled squeak, but she quickly recognized Frozenkit and forced her fur to lie flat. "Oh, it's alright," Amberpaw told the little kitten quickly. She looked thoughtful. "Is this your first time out of the nursery?" she asked. ______________________________________  Clovertwist the Loner

| Amberpaw smiled down at the little kitten, and she hid her surprise at how peculiar the kit's eyes looked. The white kit introduced herself as Frozenkit, and Amberpaw replied with a cheery mew, "I'm Amberpaw. I'm the medicine cat apprentice." It hadn't been too long ago that Amberpaw had made her first trip out of the nursery. She remembered being both excited and overwhelmed by all the different smells and sounds. "I was about to go to the medicine cat den to get some moss for the elder's den. If you'd like, you could come with me and when we're done I could show you around the camp." ______________________________________ Clovertwist the Loner

| Amberpaw felt a little surprised when the kitten hesitated. The medicine cat apprentice couldn't imagine why, but then again she hadn't been a very independent kit; she would have loved the opportunity for someone else to take the lead and show her around camp. Amberpaw's father had done that for her when he got time away from his warrior duties, and it made the camp feel more safe and familiar much more quickly. Still, Frozenkit's hesitation didn't last for long, and she amicably agreed.
Amberpaw purred in response, "Great! Let's go see the medicine den, then." The bright golden tabby padded towards the medicine den. When she walked in the entrance, she didn't feel as out of place as she had the first time that she had come in as a kit. This was her den now, too. She padded towards the back of the den, where the herbs and moss were stored. The apprentice warned the little albino kit, "Don't eat anything in the medicine den unless Mintwhisker or I tell you to. Lots of things in here could give you a bad bellyache - or worse."
Amberpaw took her time collecting a thick clump of moss to make a new nest for the elders so that Frozenkit could have time to look around. ______________________________________ Clovertwist the Loner
