A Partial Victorious Experience(open to anyone in the Regime)

The multi colored she cat made her way back to the place the regime called home. Her head held high and her tail up. She felt proud of herself at least for the moment she just hoped her father was proud of her. She flicked her bleeding nicked ears. Her ears that were bleeding had scabbed up but still showed she had been in a fight. Her tail flicked still having a small aching pain from where she had been bit and yanked. Though her pride didn't falter as she made her way back. She hadn't told anyone where she went but she was happy proud of herself even. She had taken down a warrior from the clan and shredded his ears and tore into his back. She would have taken down the apprentice as well if the warrior hadn't intervened. Xuexi smiled sitting down for a moment. Until she heard someone come over.

He was getting bigger. Canren was at least shoulder high to his father now. His sister was still bigger than him, she was like that to stay probably. He sighed, he was hoping he'd be the tallest. The brown tabby had been exploring a little farther out, not quite out of the Two-leg place, but close enough to see the treeline of the forest where the clans resided. He soon saw his sister emerge from it. He flicked his ears in irritation. So she was just allowed to go wherever she pleased? He let out an exhale. He shouldn't care this much. As soon as she sat down he made his way over to her. "Xuexi..." he trailed off, seeing the injuries that had been inflicted on her. Should he ask? Yes, yes he should. "Where did you go, why, and what happened to you? You're injured!" His amber eyes grew wider in worry, had she been attacked? He could smell clan on her. Perhaps she had gone into their territory to hunt and was outright attacked? He was a mixture of emotions. Scared, furious, curious, and a hint of regret for not going with her. His long fur fluffed out slightly in anger. Who dared hurt his sister! Or... did she start the fight? She seemed pretty proud of herself. If it was the clan cat who started it though... he'd be quite angry.

She blinked looking up seeing her brother Canren and flicked her injured ear despite the pain."what?"She mewed when he said her name trailing off. She flicked her tail."I went to the barn down that way exploring. I was just going after some mice in there cause and some cats came in claiming I was in Riverclan Territory i felt cornered as they padded forward so I attacked"She mewed smiling some almost proud of herself. She started to get into detail."the tom was so afraid and he tried to attack back but he was missing a leg. I leapt on his back and drug them through his back the rush was amazing I swiped at his ears before another cat bigger then me pulled me off but I took down that cat with the missing leg and I was going to take down the other if not for more cats coming"She mewed proud of herself."and I'm fine if your wondering"she mewed seeing his look.

Canren patiently listened to his sister's story, flicking his tail in agitation every now and then. It wasn't in agitation of the clan cats however, it was in agitation of Xuexi! Yes, he understood she had felt threatened but maiming a cat? They hadn't even started the fight! He growled out words that were barely audible. "You- you basically maimed a cat who didn't provoke you except for asking you to get off their hunting territory." He didn't know what to think. How could anyone be that cruel. His voice got steadily louder as he went on "He was missing a leg, you didn't need to take him down! There was another too? Were you going to hurt the other one? Clearly, the cat was protecting the other!" His voice was a shout now, unable to control his emotions over this "You could've killed one or the other if more cats didn't come! Are you proud of assaulting cats? You're really JUST LIKE DAD!" He closed his mouth with an audible "snap". Canren felt an awful feeling rise in his throat as he realized what he had done. He definitely wouldn't win the kit fight for food tonight. He would refuse it, he'd hunt himself. He'd find his own food tonight. His father had told them of attacking cats in territory before, he'd seen him come back with blood on his claws. Sure occasionally he was wounded when he returned, but he always had this proud look in his eyes. He glared at his sister, and stalked off, lashing his tail through the cool air. She was in the wrong and she was proud of it. He would have none of it.

Xuexi blinked taken aback for a second before her pride turned to anger her Amber eyes narrowed."Well your soft!"The clan cats deserve it!"She snapped her fur bristlyling her blood soaked claws unsheathed scraping at the cement ground under her paws making a loud scraping sound."You don't understand"She growled"I don't know why I told a soft hearted kitten like you!"She snarled angry now her fur bristling and her tail lashing. She stood up contemplating actually going after Canren and tackling him to relieve her anger but thought better of it.

”Your sister’s right, you know,” Shade’s gruff meow sounded from behind Canren, and he padded up to Xuexi’s side, practically beaming down at her. ”I heard everything. You say you fought a cat with a missing leg? That must’ve been Spotfur. You know, I was the one who ripped his leg clean out of its socket.” He lifted his head, grinning proudly over his achievement. ”It seems your training is really starting to pay off. You shall have first pick off the fresh-kill pile tonight.”

Then he turned his attention to Canren, glancing down at him with a stern, borderline angry expression. ”You know, it’s because of those Clan cats that we all are living the way we do now. Those cats think so highly of themselves, and so lowly on us, when really, we all deserve to live like they do. It’s their own fault for confronting Xuexi and not having the strength to fight back.” He narrowed his eyes, becoming fired up from the lecture. ”Clan cats are the enemy, Canren! I will not have a son who values them over the fairness and justice of all cats!

“Soon, Xuexi, I will initiate the next level of your training. You have proven yourself ready to learn how to fight for your life... and your opponent’s death.” Offering his only daughter one last smile, Shade stalked off towards the fresh-kill pile, readying himself to fight in case anyone challenged him to the big pigeon he set his eyes on.

Xuexi tail flicked slightly her gaze looking to the voice as she heard it and calmed her nerves as she seen her father,Shade. The tom she looked up to so much. "Yes dad I fought a tom who lost his leg."She mewed flicking her tail smiling some her eyes widening in awe"so that's where the fear came from...."She mewed in thought before she flicked her wounded ears that she didn't pay any mind to."Yes!"She mewed with a grin as he said she had first pick of fresh kill that night. She would go for the best thing she could grab instead of something measly. She decided to focus on something else while he lectured her brother her gaze looking to the fresh kill pile in thought for a moment. She blinked looking to her father as he spoke to her again and she grinned"when do we start?!"She mewed eager to learn what she could. She made her way to the fresh kill pile after him to find her something to eat.

Canren had been walking away. Then his father had to butt in. He whipped his head around to face him. His amber eyes glared up defiantly at his father, realizing now that he and his father were nothing alike. They didn't understand how he felt. He hissed loudly at his father "Attacking cats? How is that fair? You've just been going into the forest to terrify them! You pulled a cat's leg off, because why you didn't like him? Did you want to terrify the rest of the cats into submission? Maybe instead of attacking the cat, you could've just talked to them! They have their territory to protect themselves and their family. So what if I'm soft." He stalked off hearing something about them as "the enemy". He wished he had never been born, at least not born to a monster as a father. Clearly, he would have to train himself, in hunting, in fighting. Only in fighting so when the time came that he wouldn't catch anything and he was forced to take from the pile they had that he would be able to battle for it.

Shade looked down at his daughter and smiled, ready to respond, when Canren's hiss caught his attention. He glared furiously at him as he spoke, and a low growl rose in his throat. He couldn't believe that his own flesh and blood was talking about sparing and communicating instead of talking. He was just as soft as his mother.

Before Canren could get far, the rogue stalked over to him quickly, turned him around with a paw, and slashed his claws across his cheek, knocking him to the ground. The claw marks weren't deep enough to draw too much blood, they were definitely starting to begin to leak droplets. He pressed his paw against Canren's scratched cheek, pinning him to the ground, and he lowered his head down to hiss at him. "Why do you think cats have teeth and claws? I'll give you a hint, they're not for talking. Do you think those foxhearted Clan cats give a rat's tail about us? They would much rather drive us away and let us starve than accept us or let us live peacefully next to them. They would rather kill us than share what they have! I'm trying to toughen you up so that not only will you be able to do to them what they would do to us without a second thought, but so that you can protect yourself from them when they do try to kill you!

"My mother was just like you, Canren. She didn't want to fight. She only wanted to talk. She wanted to surrender just to avoid conflict. Do you know what happened to her for being so soft?" Shade spat in disgusted fury and dug his claws into Canren's head. "She lost all respect from her Clanmates! She made enemies! Her friends were banned from her! And then she was driven out! She was too soft to fight for her life when it really mattered most!" His claws dug deeper, drawing more droplets of blood. "Do you think I want that for you? Do you want me to resent you so much that I have to kill you like I did my mother? I don't want to kill you, Canren, but if you continue down the path my mother made I'll have no choice. I will not have a son who favors the Clans over me!"

Growling and panting from the venting, Shade finally withdrew his claws and stood off of his son. "If you continue to favor, or even so much as dare, to join those Clans, Canren, you will become my enemy. And I promise you, you do not want to make an enemy out of me." Ears drawn back and teeth bared, he gave him one final glare before stalking off to join Xuexi again.

He had walked away from it. He didn't want a fight with his sister or a verbal one with his father. Never in a million moons would he have thought his father would hurt him. He always thought his father would protect him - but he was wrong. Dreadfully wrong. He turned around in a flash, seeing his father's furious glare staring him down. Then he was on the ground. Quick as that. His cheek stung horribly, but then he was pinned by a large brown paw. The claws sank into his already stinging wound, simply deepening the pain. He knew better than to fight back against a cat much larger than him. His father told him off, but all he heard was the pounding of his head and the pain worsening in his cheek. All he spoke of was that the clans were the enemy. That the cats would kill him.

More blood was drawn as his father told him about his grandmother. He killed her because she was soft. He would bet his tail she wasn't soft, she was peaceful. Better than Shade. He refused to beg for his life, ask his father to not kill him. He refused to "toughen up". He felt the claws release and staggered upwards. He glared daggers at his father, almost asking for him to try. He knew his father wouldn't bother with his own kit. He would just think he was too weak to fight for his food.

Once his father looked away he ran back to where his father wouldn't bother to find him. He would train himself near the dumpster. Sure, Shade would come back over here eventually, but he'd be too infatuated with Xuexi to bother him. She'd be his tough little angel. He'd be the weak little son. If he were to live, he would need to barely speak to his father. He'd toughen up alright, just in ways that he thinks are soft.

Shade lowered his head to nuzzle between Xuexi's ears. "Let's go share that pigeon. Then I'll teach you more battle moves." He made his way to the fresh-kill pile, selected the bird, and led his daughter over to the dumpster to begin sharing with his most promising kit.

(OOC: Not sure if anything else can be done here tbh, at least between Shade, Xuexi, and Canren. XP)

Kay then my last post will close this then and maybe we can start one more topic for her and Shade for her next bit of training))

Xuexi had watched silently with her Amber eyes but didn't intervene. She had remained quiet looking elsewhere while their father tended to Canren. Her gaze on the pigeon for a moment before she blinked looking up as she heard her father come over. She gave a quiet purr as he nuzzled her between the ears and then nodded"Alright"She mewed smiling some as she followed after her father and shared the pigeon with him.
