A Battle of Destiny [CLOSED]

The apprentice was bored of following the orders of a former kittypet. Instead, he was determined to show everyone how great he could be without the useless help of a she-cat without clan blood. After all, he was a Thunderclan cat. He had the Thunderclan power in his veins. How could he fail?

Beetlepaw reached the Thunderpath, seeing how a roaring monster crossed it. He smiled. One day... I'll be as strong as those creatures. I will make my clan great again and show them what a real Thunderclan cat can do. He thought, lost in his fantasies until he heard a sound on the other side of the path. His pupils narrowed and the tom immediately unsheathed his claws, ready for a violent encounter. "Show up already!" He shouted, his tail up and his chest puffed, showing a long and beautiful mane.

Fallowpaw, who had been walking at a leisurely pace through ShadowClan territory in attempt to get away from trivial training and apprentice duties, had slowed even more as she reached the Thunderpath. She had missed the last Gathering, so she still hadn't had a chance to see any of the other Clans. She paced back and forth for a few moments at the edge of the path, although she knew waiting for a ThunderClanner to show up was pointless.

Suddenly, a sharp cry pierced the air. "Show up already!" Fallowpaw's head turned sharply, and she spotted another cat, likely an apprentice about her age, standing threateningly on the other side. She flicked her tail and came fully into the open. Her calico pelt fluffed up as she glared menacingly at the young tom. "What do you want, ThunderClanner?" she spat. "If it's a fight you're looking for, that I can give you," she threatened. Even though a menacing stretch of strange stone separated her and the ThunderClan apprentice, she took an aggressive stance as she locked eyes with the tom.

The tom didn't ask twice. In a blink, he was rushing through the Thunderpath right in the direction of the bold she-cat. Beetlepaw seemed to be attacking her by the front but in the last moment, he leapt to one side like he was dodging a swipe and then he jumped to the back of the ThunderClanner. He sank his claws slightly into her flesh and pinned her down with his weight. "Is that the best you can do, frog-face!"

Beetlepaw used Leap-and-Hold, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina. Fallowpaw is pinned for 2 turns.

Fallowpaw grunted as the tom pinned her, his paws planted firmly on her back, knocking the breath out of her. She could feel the marshy ground beneath her, seeping into her pelt. She did her best to scrabble at his belly, but her legs weren't long enough to reach him. She continued to struggle, however, knowing that he wouldn't be able to hold her forever. "Don't underestimate ShadowClan, you fox-heart," she hissed.

”If Shadowclan is so great, prove it!” He snarled with a mocking smile in his face. He slashed her back once more, trying to hold her as much as he could. If she was truly a Shadowclan apprentice, she should escape soon from his wrap.

Beetlepaw keeps using Leap-and-Hold, dealing 6 damage. Fallowpaw is pinned for one turn.

Fallowpaw snarled, still struggling under Beetlepaw's weight. She tried rolling away, ducking, twisting, anything she could think of to do. "ShadowClan is greater than you'll ever be!" she hissed. She was almost free, she could nearly turn right side up now. A few more seconds and she would show this ThunderClanner exactly what she was made of.

Fallowpaw is still stunned.

ooc; remind me if i'm doing this right? the two turn leap-and-hold does three turns of damage, so she's still stunned until you post?

OOC: Fallowpaw should be free now ;D. From what I've roleplayed, the effect of the move is already over ;D

IC: Beetlepaw grinned and jumped off her but not before giving the she-cat a hit with one unsheathed claw on her forehead. The cut wasn't deep to leave scars but it was deep enough to bleed. The proud apprentice purred and then did the battle crouch, ready for an attack from her. It was time to see what she could do.

Beetlepaw used Front paw strike, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Fallowpaw flinched a bit as the ThunderClanner's claws pierced her head. Through the pain, though, she stood her ground, preparing herself to attack him. She knew there was a high possibility that she would lose this battle, but even if she did she wanted to make sure that this apprentice remembered her well. Snarling like a warrior of LionClan, she launched herself at Beetlepaw. She sprang onto his back and raked his pelt with her needle-sharp claws. She had momentarily pinned her opponent, but she knew she wouldn't be able to hold him for long.

Fallowpaw used Leap-and-Hold on Beetlepaw, costing 10 stamina and dealing 6 damage. Beetlepaw is stunned for 1 turn.
