Silentpaw's Warrior Ceremony

There was nothing better than knowing that the Clan that meant so much to you was growing stronger and stronger with each sunrise and sunset. Yet another apprentice was ready to join the rank that was so strongly sought after by kits and apprentices alike - the rank of a warrior. Poplarstar managed to leap onto the Tallbranch without any difficulty, and his strong green gaze scanned the camp for a few heartbeats before he let out the call to let the Clan know that it was time to gather around.

"Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather beneath the Tallbranch for a Clan meeting!"

Silentpaw got up from his resting position near the medicine cat den and walked over to the gathering place. He sat down at the back, he was way too big to be sitting nearer to the front, at looked up at Poplarstar. The tom felt an excited feeling bubbling in his belly. Was today the day he would receive his warrior name? He had to find out.

Fernpetal joined the crowd that had begun to gather at their new leader's call, about to take a seat alone until she spotting Silentpaw.  She felt a bit bad that she had been so snobbish on the trip to the Moonstone instead of talking to him...she didn't regret it mind, but the fluffy silver tom had managed to charm her in a way.  He seemed...respectful, of her, and what she believed.  It was...nice.  With a surprisingly friendly smile, she sat down next to the tom and purred in a low tone, "I wonder what this is about?"

"We gather here today to give one of our apprentices their Warrior name and rank," he began, looking out upon the gathering clan bellow, a smile on his muzzle. "Silentpaw has proven himself worthy to climb the ranks of SkyClan and receive his Warrior name," Tinystar spoke and then paused for another brief moment before continuing.

"Silentpaw, please step forward."

Once the apprentice stepped forward, the short tom continued. "I, Tinystar, leader of SkyClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Silentpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

IC: Silentpaw struggled to get up from his spot on the ground. His eyes were wide with surprise and shock. He straightened up and managed to compose himself. He gave Fernpetal a smile before stepping up. The tom waited for the leader to continue with the ceremony. When it was his turn to speak, he did so with confidence, "I do." He didn't want to continue with being shy. He wanted to be a warrior that Skyclan would be proud of.

Once the apprentice replied, he went on with the ceremony. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Silentpaw, from this day forward you shall be known as Silentwhisper. SkyClan honors your loyalty. Congratulations," he finished. With that, Tinystar leaped down from Tallbranch, and making his way over to Silentwhisper, offered a soft bump of his muzzle to the newly named warrior in a quiet form of congratulations as the rest of the clan flocked forwards as well.

"Silentwhisper!  Silentwhisper!"  As soon as her grandfather completed the ceremony, the bi-color tabby she-cat leaped to her paws and cheered the tom's new name with vigor.  Trotting up to stand alongside him, his fluffy, imposing mass almost dwarfing her own sleek form, she bumped against his shoulder in a challenging sort of way as she purred; "About time!"
