Acornpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Whenever an apprentice was old enough and ready enough to leave their rank behind and become a warrior, Poplarstar felt his heart well up with pride. It reminded him that SkyClan was growing in size and strength every single day, and all the fluffy tom wanted was for his Clan to succeed. The few decisions that Rippedstar had made during his time as leader had led SkyClan in a strange direction with the other Clans, especially WindClan. Poplarstar felt as if it was his duty to make sure that his Clan had a good reputation, and he would do anything to ensure that SkyClan was respected.

After leaping up onto the Tallbranch and clearing his throat, Poplarstar let out the familiar words to let the others know that it was time for a meeting.

"Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather beneath the Tallbranch for a Clan meeting!"

Acornpaw watched as Poplarstar announced for another ceremony. She wondered who it would be, but it never came into her mind that it would be her.

When Acornpaw, the soon-to-be warrior, padded over to join the other SkyClanners under the Tallrock, Poplarstar didn't hesitate to launch directly into the ceremony.
"We gather here today to give one of our apprentices their warrior name," The leader's voice was loud and strong as his green gaze scanned the crowd, "Acornpaw, please step forward."

The familiar words of a warrior ceremony flowed out of Poplarstar's maw, considering that he had heard it countless times before, and even though he had only said it himself a few times.
"I, Poplarstar, leader of SkyClan call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this cat. She has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Acornpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Acornpaw knew that she would be a warrior soon, if she could handle it. Be strong, Acornpaw, she thought to herself. For Mother. After a short delay, she replied, "I do."

“Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Acornpawpaw, from this moment on, you will be known as Acornfall. StarClan honors your determination and caring nature, and we welcome you as a full warrior of SkyClan.”

To officially end the ceremony, Poplarstar leapt off of the Tallbranch and rested his head gingerly on top of the newly-appointed warrior's head. After giving Acornfall a nod of approval, the fluffy tom retreated to his den as the chants for the new warrior lifted up into the air.
