Blossom Wilting(OPEN)

Crowpaw had grabbed her own fur tuft and dropped it at camp. "Skyclan! Something terrible has happened! Spiderpaw, NPC, and I were on patrol and we found blood, rogue scent, and tufts of Blossomheart's fur! She- she must have been captured or killed!" Shaking, Crowpaw wailed out the words.

Spiderpaw padded after his two Clanmates, not speaking a word upon entering the camp, both for not having words or breath to speak them and because he still carried the large tuft of the pinkish fur in his mouth. He just wanted to hide away in the nursery and never come back out ever again.

Having been laying outside the warrior's den, enjoying the midday sun, the sudden, panicked mew of an apprentice and the faint blood scent sent his fur standing on edge. Standing up, the small deputy gave his pelt a shake and looked around to see Crowpaw and Spiderpaw. He didn't catch everything that the younger she-cat had said, but the two apprentice's pelts looked pretty ruffled, so he knew that something was up.

"Calm down," the white and grey warrior spoke calmly as he approached the apprentices. "Now, what did you say about Blossomheart?" the tiny tom asked, his tail beginning to flick anxiously back and forth as he waited for a reply.

(They were with an npc warrior, Juniperfang)

Crowpaw stared at Tinylegs. Her eyes were strikingly familiar to most of the clan, as they had seen those same eyes before in the former leader Crowstar, her father. Now they were nearly identical to her father's back whenever he had announced the death of anyone in the clan, grief-stricken and worried. Crowpaw's words were not as quick as originally, though they retained the same desperate tone. "We found rogue scent on our territory... and not far into it, we also found blood and this pink fur and Blossomheart's scent... the mingled scents and blood led to the Twolegplace before being overwhelmed by rogue and loner scents. And there was the lightest tang of fear and death..." Her voice began to waver. Then she began to wail to the temporary deputy. "We're scared!!! We think she's dead or captured and the rogues could get any one of us next!" Fresh tears streamed down her face. Now the numbness of shock had worn off and fear-scent rolled off her pelt in waves.

There was so much fear in Poplarstar's heart as the name 'Blossomheart' reached his ears. It wasn't like the voices were ecstatic, they sounded horrified, grief-stricken, and traumatized. All the tom could do was pray to StarClan as he rose to his paws and quietly padded out of his den to see what in the forest was going on. He listened silently Crowpaw's fearful words, and he searched Spiderpaw's terrified face before he took a silent step forward. He couldn't be losing his sister, not now... of all times, not now.

"It's alright, Crowpaw, there's no need to panic," Poplarstar told the apprentice, sounding like an absolute hypocrite considering that he was inwardly panicking, inwardly screaming, inwardly hoping and praying that his sister was still alive, "I can't risk sending any warriors there to see if she's captured. We never know how many rogues there could be, and the last thing SkyClan needs is to lose warriors."

The leader's voice was forced as he spoke his next words, "If Blossomheart is with StarClan, then she's in a better place, now. Th-there will be a vigil for her tonight."

She was such an excellent sister, and she mothered so many kits. She deserves to be buried like any other honorable warrior...

Acornpaw just returned from a patrol at sunhigh to find out that Blossomheart, her mother, may be dead.  No, she can't be.  She can't be dead!  She can't be! she thought in sorrow.  "Why?" she whispered under her breath.

Watching as Poplarstar joined the scene, Tinylegs took a step back to let the leader speak with his clanmates. Lowering his head, he said a silent prayer to where ever Blossomheart was. 'May she stay safe and live a good life, where ever she may be,' he thought to himself, personally hoping that she was in StarClan, rather than captured by rouges or something much worse.
