Hi, Death! ...OMG YOU'RE DEATH[closed]

Cinderfall trotted along the Gorge. He loved this place, despite its danger. Spotfur was off hunting another part of the Gorge. He heard pawsteps but didn't mind them.

Ryecloud made his way to a part of the gorge farther down the river, not going anywhere with purpose. Limping along, the lame tom thought about nothing in particular as he wandered on, but the peaceful day was quickly ruined. Apparently, he'd gotten too close to the edge, and underneath his paws, the soft earth began to slip away.

Letting out a yowl of surprise, the crippled warrior began to slide down the side of the gorge and his claws tried to grab onto anything possible, though it felt as if they were noodles. Was this the end? Was he really going to go like this?!

Dirt crumbling was a surprisingly loud noise. The tom raced towards it with all the speed he could muster, and saw a Windclan warrior about to tumble into the Gorge! Not today, he wouldn't! Cinderfall barreled into the other cat, pushing him onto stable ground, but didn't quite make it on his own. His back paws slipped, so he dug his frontal claws into the ground, trying to scrabble up... and failing.

Suddenly, a third cat appeared to drag him out by his scruff. Spotfur. Once all three cats were safe, the older tom began to scold him. "Cinderfall, you know not to get so close to the edge! What if you'd fallen!? Jaystar'd kill me!" "But Spotfur!" He protested. "I'll not be nearby it!"

Having had his life flash before his eyes, the feeling of falling suddenly disappeared and instead of being on the edge of the gorge, the cripple opened his eyes to find himself in a patch of tall grass, lying in a ball on stable ground. Slowly opening both eyes, he cautiously lifted his head to see what looked like two RiverClan cats on his side, the WindClan side, bickering back and forth. Most other cats would've fought the two warriors off or at least confronted them, but not Ryecloud.

Quickly lowering his head bellow the tall grass, the lame warrior closed his eyes once more, praying to StarClan that what ever was happening would cease to exist and he'd be left alone. While death wasn't exactly on his bucket-list of things to experience, Ryecloud would've much rathered to be in the silent void then have to deal with the two toms. 'Don't see me... don't see me...' he internally said over and over to himself at he stayed as still as possible in the tall grass that hopefully engulfed him from their line of vision.
