Foxpaw's Moonstone Journey

Featherlight made her way out of the medicine cat's den, searching out a particular apprentice's red pelt. "Foxpaw," she called out in her soft, gentle voice. "It's nearly time to go." Today was a special day, in that Featherlight was to lead an apprentice in the pawsteps of their ancestors, to Mothermouth and the Moonstone. It was always a special day, at least for the apprentices - she was finding it a little bit routine, but not in a bad way. It was always nice to interact with her Clanmates individually, after all.

Foxpaw yawned. Why was she getting up so early? Then she remembered.  She was going to the Moonstone! She knew the journey would be long and hard, but she was still excited. "When are we leaving?" She asked. "Do we need to do annything first?"

"There is something we must do first, yes. Eat these herbs, and then we'll be ready to leave, alright?" Featherlight said gently, before beginning to eat her own. "It's slightly less necessary, but it's always better to be safe with these things, isn't it?"

Foxpaw lapped up the herbs. "yuck!" she mewed. "They taste bitter!" she haddent expected them to taste good, but she didn't expect them to taste horrible, ether.

Featherlight snorted - uncharacteristic, certainly, but she had expected the apprentices would have shared that little detail with one another. Well, if it gave her some small amount of amusement, that wasn't hurting anyone. "We can leave now, though. Follow me, Foxpaw."

Foxpaw was no longer hungry. She was so excited! Who would she talk to? Maby I will see Willowpaw, or maby even my mother! She couldn't wait to be at the Moonstone! "Ok!" She meowed. "Let's go!"

Featherlight began leading the way out of camp, calm and quiet. "Are you excited to finish your training, Foxpaw?" she asked lightly - it wasn't often she got a peek into the lives of her Clanmates, after all, and the trip to the Moonstone was short in comparison to the other Clans.

"Yes!" Foxpaw could hardly wait to be a warrior. She would sleep in the warriors den, get to leave camp alone, all the fun stuff! And even better, she would be able to help her clan in more ways.

"That's good, then. I'm sure you'll be a remarkable warrior," Featherlight purred in amusement. "Ah... Here we are. Follow me closely, and be careful."

"Okay." Foxpaw followed Featherlight, carefully following her instructions. When she saw the moonstone, she could hardly believe her eyes. How could a rock be so beautiful? She padded towards the moonstone and pressed her nose up to it. Before she knew what was happening, she was swept into a dream.

Foxpaw awoke to a starry sky. She was in the middle of a grassy field. She heard a noise behind her. "Who's there?!" She asked, startled.

Who was it indeed, But Willowpaw, the dead brother of Foxpaw who had been murdered by Hazelpaw of Skyclan. His blue eyes shone as he nuzzled his sister. "Hello, Foxpaw."

"Willowpaw?!" Foxpaw meowed, overjoyed. "Is it really you?" She nuzzled him back, breathing in his scent for the first time in moons. She thought that she would never see him again! At least, not until she had joined StarClan. But here he was, the same as he had been before he died.

IC: Willowpaw smiled. "Yes, Foxpaw, it's me." He pulled away, ready to be serious. "But I came here for a reason, a tradition of giving apprentices messages. And it's time for yours. "

"R-really?" She couldn't believe it! she was going to get a message from StarClan! What would it be about?

OOC: Something about how she doesn't need revenge on SkyClan

Willowpaw nodded. "Yes. I forgive her. Hazelpaw. It wasn't her fault I died. I hesitated and fort distracted and I made a mistake during a battle. That is why I died. Skyclan it's at no fault."
