A Little Adventure {Open}

The small tortoiseshell leader was somehow back in the nursery already. It felt like just the other day, her last litter were running around the nursery playing moss ball. Now, she had two more fluffs of fur to look after. One she-cat who was an almost identical copy of her father, Mudfoot, whom she named Copperkit and one calico tom whom she named Lightningkit after her late mate, Lightningstrike. They were both now about a moon old and had opened their eyes not too long ago. Stirring slightly from a light sleep, she rose to her paws to stretch before nosing her two kits to wake up. The sky was now darkening, and it was time to start the night. Purring softly, she gently nudged her kit out of the dip that was their nest. "Come on, children. We're going to explore the camp today!" She meowed enthusiastically. She couldn't say she remembered her first day out of the nursery, but she did know it was a very exciting moment for kits. She made her way out of the nursery and called to her kits once more. "Guys! Come look!" She gasped like she was seeing the busy bustle of camp for the first time.

Rainkit opened her eyes a slit, golden eyes dull in the fading swirl of dusk. She shifted from her place on the damp earth, feeling the light rumble of paws thudding beneath her. The older kit flicked her tail, watching closely as a small figure emerged from the den, mewing in an excited tone.

"She sounds like Olivelily..." Rainkit murmured, ear twitching -- but when the she-cat stepped more fully into view, the kit recognized the tortoiseshell coat instantly; the missing ear on her left side.

It was Littlestar.

Wolfheart had encouraged Rainkit to not be underpaw, especially with their leader's litter on the way -- and even though she slept in the nursery, it wasn't a problem for her, truly. Rainkit preferred the quiet chill of the open to the nursery, and tended not to spend much time there. But in the midst of the nights Rainkit spent watching the clan, observing, curiosity bubbled within her. What would a leader's kits be like?

She'd seen Olivelily's kits, and they were nothing special. But a leader's...

OoC; Woops... Lightningkit was supposed to be a single kit for the plot... THis is okay though

Lightningkit stood, and followed his mother. The kit was handsome, with silky soft fur. He stumbled to his mother, glancing at Rainkit as he did so. "I can't wait to see all my clanmates!" the tom said, brimming with enthusiasm.

A kind meow sounded nearby, and Scorchfang padded over to the nursery. He smiled up at Littlestar and bowed his head respectfully. ”Hello, Littlestar. Congratulations again for such a beautiful litter.” He looked down at Lightningkit, the first kit to pad out of the nursery behind his mother, and purred kindly. ”Hello there, little one. Welcome to ShadowClan. My name is Scorchfang.”

Copperkit said nothing, her light green eyes scanning around. She shuffled forward and quickly followed her brother. The she-kit sighed through her nose as she took a peek out of the nursery. She was pretty excited to head out.
