Cloverpaw's Moonstone Journey

Mapleleaf was currently sitting by the camp entrance, one bundle of herbs by her paws. She had prepared two but the medicine cat ate hers moments before. Today she would be taking young Cloverpaw to the Moonstone. It was the she-cat's time to go on a life-changing journey. She waited patiently for th rebellious apprentice to arrive.

Cloverpaw strode out of the apprentice's den. With a proud expression. Tiday she'd be meeting with her starry ancestors. She was bursting with excitement. She greeted the medicine cat with a curt nod once she arrived. "I'm here!" she said with a friendly expression.

Mapleleaf stood up and smiled sweetly. "I'm glad you could join me." she said with a playful gaze. The medicine cat slid the bundle over to the apprentice. "Now eat these. They will give you strength for the journey and keep your hunger in check. I must warn you though, they are not pleasant to consume."

Cloverpaw ate the herbs with caution. She gagged softly and stuck her tongue out. The apprentice really didn't like that experience. She smiled to Mapleleaf, telling her she was ready.

Mapleleaf nodded and began to lead the apprentice to the Moonstone. First they got out of Thunderclan territory, then passed Fourtrees, traversed quickly through Windclan's territory, and speedily made their way through the Abandoned Barn.

Currently the two she-cats were on the other side of the Thunderpath after having run across it at an exhausting speed. Mapleleaf had told Cloverpaw to take a small break before heading to the entrance of the Moonstone cavern. They were to wait until Silverpelt was adorning most of the sky. "Tell me when you're ready to keep going, Cloverpaw." the sand-tabby said. The apprentice didn't really cause much trouble along the way and the medicine cat appreciated that.

OOC: I'm super sorry for the awfully late reply! College work is going through the roof so i'm getting busier and busier! Also, this is a short post ;^;

IC: Cloverpaw smiled and nodded. "I'm ready now actually!" she purred. The apprentice was very eager to meet with her starry ancestors.

Mapleleaf nodded and giggled at the apprentice's playfulness. She began to lead Cloverpaw to the main cavern, where the Moonstone was. The medicine cat then sat down at the entrance as she once again nodded at Cloverpaw. "Touch your nose to the Moonstone. Once you do, Starclan will be there to speak with you." She made herself comfortable as she began her wait.

Cloverpaw nodded and did as she was told. She settled herself down in front of the glowing rock and then pressed her nose to it. Soon the apprentice began to feel drowsy, eventually falling into a quick slumber.

The apprentice awoke with wide, green eyes. She sat down and began to wait for a Starclan cat to come and speak with her.
