Blossomheart padded out of camp. "C'mon Lionpaw, let's hunt." She flicked her head, beckoning her brother to come with her on a patrol.

Lionpaw padded out of the apprentice den, he was irritable that his own sister had to supervize him, and that his Brother was his mentor. He felt that if he really tried, he had enough drive to overpass them during warriorhood. He said nothing as he followed Blossomheart out of camp

Blossomheart looked back at her brother. "Cat got your tongue? You're not holding a silent vigil." She tried to tease. Then her eyes flitted to a bird pecking at nuts and seeds. She jumped at it, slamming the sparrow down to the ground.

While his sister joked and caught a sparrow, Lionpaw had begun to track down a mouse. He followed the trail toward a small clearing, with a hole at the roots of a small oak tree. Lionpaw pressed himself to the ground as he saw the mouse, as it started to carry some seeds back to it's den. Lionpaw swiftly stalked toward it, and pounced on the mouse.

He got caught off-guard as a foul scent filled his nose. He crashed into a nearby tree, and shook himself to control. He looked around trying to fin the source of the smell.

Lionpaw hissed and flashed his head around. The scent seemed to get worse, making his head ache. He looked at the creature. It looked sort of like a red cat with a fluffly tail and a long, ugly muzzle. Not to mention it smelled worse than Shadowclan. He sprinted after Blossomheart knocked the fox onto it's back, and jumped onto him. He unseathed his claws and slashed at it's belly.

The fox snarled and tossed Lionpaw's small body off of it. The fox's eye caught hold of Blossomheart's fur. The fox ran at her and bit her flank.

Lionpaw was quick to get back into the battle. He hurled himself at the fox and slashed at it's muzzle. It's hot breath filled his nose as it opened it's jaws in shock.

Lionpaw wasted no time. When Blossomheart landed on the fox's back, he ran forward and slashed at it's muzzle again, but this time he caught his claw in it's eye. He felt satified as the fox shrieked and ran off toward Shadowclan territory.

Lionpaw hissed in frustration. "We should head that way," he pointed with his muzzle to the opposite direction of where the fox went, "We still have to feed the clan." he mewed.

Blossomheart shook her head. "No. I have to get Mintpaw to help my wound, so it doesn't get infected. Fox teeth are disgusting. I don't want it to get worse. I'll see if Poplartooth can send you out on another patrol." She turned tail towards camp.

Lionpaw grumbled but followed along, accepting that the wound was needing to be treated.
