Hunting Time [closed]

The powerful breeze brought forth the tantalizing scents of the forest, filling the sparsely populated camp with a plethora of enticing fragrances. Anxious to escape the utterly suffocating confines of the shade-drenched camp, Elmcloud found himself pacing restlessly just short of the tightly woven entrance to camp. Even in his overwhelming state of apprehension and subsequent self-doubt, he still craved the normalcy offered by attending to the rather tedious every-day duties.

Mallowbrook walked towards the sound of pacing at the camp entrance. Her serious features softened once she realized who it was. She hasn't properly spoken to Elmcloud for a while. She approached the tom with a gentle expression. "What are you up to? You're going to wear down the ground beneath you if you keep pacing like that." she joked as she placed her tail on his shoulder. "So, are you feeling okay? I'm here for you and i'm ready to listen."

Snowpaw waddled quietly up to the two warriors. Her pelt was as fluffed up as it could be. "H-Hello. A-Are you going o-on a patrol? C-Can I come too?" she asked with pleading gaze.

Gaze casting out onto the familiar features of Mallowbrook, Elmcloud's movements gradually slowed at his companion's words. Nose twitching briefly as a light simper of belated amusement escaped his maw, the tom's tail twitched. Even without eyes, she had always been able to see right through him. "There's nothing wrong," He reassurance, although hasty, was surprisingly convincing, "I just dislike sitting around in camp for longer than I have to." Before any further words could bubble forth from his throat, a new voice attracted his interest. Twisting around slightly to catch a proper glimpse at the soft speaker, his gaze briefly flitted between Mallowbrook and Snowpaw.

"You're welcome to tag along if you'd like, although it'll likely be a fairly informal little patrol." Elmcloud finally mewed, blinking down at the wide-eyed Snowpaw.

Mallowbrook nodded at the direction of her den-mate and gave him a gentle smile. Her attention then went to Snowpaw, a young apprentice. "I'm glad you're joining. I haven't been on a patrol with a youngster like yourself for a while." she purred. "Are we heading out Elmcloud?" she asked softly.
