blossoms and embers [closed battle]

Emberheart stood at the Fallen Oak, a one-cat border patrol. Newleaf weather had been kind to ThunderClan thus far, and that alone had helped her emotional state almost as much as her physical health. It was a wonder what not being under constant threat of starvation could do. Her long fur, once matted and messy, was well-kept and shining, to the point that every time she saw her reflection, she had to stop and make sure it wasn't her mother's face staring back at her from the water.

Emotionally, she had regained her confidence and started to contribute to her Clan more - which was what brought her here, to the border shared with SkyClan. She had re-marked the border, and was currently keeping an eye out for any trespassers. Any SkyClan cats who dared step one paw off their own land she would chase away herself, if she had to.

IC: Blossomheart padded along the border, making sure not to cross like last time. Thunderclan was so ruthless sometimes. She didn't even bother to mark the border. She jumped on top of the fallen oak and looked out into Thunderclan's forest. She began to daydream. They were more of nightmares, really. Tyr dying before her eyes. Crowstar losing his last life. Her daughter, becoming a cold-blooded murderer because of her own failure to raise her. Why couldn't she lose reality altogether? Blossomheart sighed. She stood up and tried to turn around, but got caught on a small branch and tripped, falling into Thunderclan territory.
