Defending Honor

OOC: heck this is gonna be really short. I promise my next posts will be longer!
Stormpaw decided earlier to explore Fourtrees. It would be good to get to know the area before his siblings, purely for bragging rights. It was never too early to get ahead. The dark gray tom padded into the clearing, his head low. He was about to begin his exploring mission, but the sound of a snapping twig made him freeze. Someone else was there. The young apprentice dropped to the ground, his summer-yellow eyes narrowed in suspicion.

Unlike the other apprentices -- wide-eyed and like kits with claws, in her opinion -- Honeypaw had little interest in "exploring" or doing "dangerous things," like sneaking out. That would've been foolish, and immature, and nothing like a responsible, respectable warrior.

Which was why Honeypaw was not exploring -- she was merely... scouting the terrain. Yes. Fourtrees was where the Gatherings were held, after all -- where there were hoards of enemy cats gathered at one time. Sure, Starclan mandated peace -- but what if there were code-breakers at a gathering? Any responsible warrior would be prepared!

Yes, Honeypaw decided, confident in her decision to leave camp that stuffy evening. Fourtrees was a place that warranted a thorough searching! The fact that Sedgestrike was too busy for a training session had nothing to do with it -- or the fact that she'd grown bored of sitting around camp all day. Of course not!

The she-cat stepped into the clearing with her head high, amber eyes raking over the space. It was a rather amazing place to see in full daylight -- especially the Great Rock, jutting high above Honeypaw; its smooth surface sparkling in the sun.

Curiosity filling her, the apprentice strode toward the jagged monument -- only pausing when a branch snapped under her paws.

"Mouse-dung..." she mewed, irritated. The branch had scratched her paw! "And my pads are still sore from climbing, too..."

Sedgestrike was not a lax mentor -- and running across trees during a rainstorm had certainly scraped her pads raw.

Stormpaw hissed and crept forward until the golden she-cat was in sight, padding a little way nearer before making his grand entrance. There was nothing better than a frightening reveal- with any luck, he'd send the smaller apprentice running with just the sight of him. "Skyclan scum." He spat from behind the she-cat, standing tall with his summer yellow eyes narrowed. He paused for a moment before striding forward, placing each foot on the ground with deliberation like he'd seen his father do when disciplining an apprentice. "What are you doing here?" The dark gray tom leaped gracefully in front of the Great Rock, his feathery tail lashing the ground. A fight would be great... and from the looks of the she-cat, she wasn't going to scurry now. If she was really afraid of him, she wouldn't waste time. The tall tom frowned- he'd have to work on his dramatic entrances. "Don't you think it's a bit rude to not introduce yourself?" The stormy gray tom snarled, his large ears twitching. "And you haven't run yet- I suppose I'll have to teach you a lesson." If she hadn't wanted a fight, she would've left by now. Stormpaw was certain of that. The large apprentice hissed softly, taking half a step back. "Respect your betters, Skyclanner." He hoped that sounded impressive. He had practiced that phrase quite a lot.
With a grunt, the sleek apprentice threw himself onto the golden she-cat's back, using his bigger size to his advantage. It was a battle move Ivystar had taught him recently, and it seemed to work out well. The she-cat wasn't going anywhere yet, at least.

Stormpaw used Leap-And-Hold, dealing 6 damage and using 10 SP. Honeypaw is stunned for 1 turn.

"My betters?" she hissed, jolted by the sight of the storm-gray tom, head jutting proudly -- arrogantly. But before Honeypaw could snap back, the tom was leaping over her -- with speed that startled the apprentice.

Honeypaw went tense, muscles remembering Sedgestrike's training, but even her hasty recoil was too late -- and the aggressive apprentice's paws crashed down on her shoulders. Wind knocked out of her, Honeypaw's legs buckled under his weight -- his claws and fangs like little pricks of fire.

Gasping for breath, the tom's thick stench clogged her nostrils; weight pinning her down. Riverclan!

How dare this piece of fox-dung!
