Rejoice[OPEN]

Spotfur let Wolfsong walk the last bit. As they entered, he called out happily. "Wolfsong is alive and he's returned!" This was a happy Newleaf day.

Wolfsong looked around camp, he was glad to be back. The only thing missing now was Darkpaw... She would never return.
He shook his head gently and shoved away the thoughts.

He layed down and took a deep breath, only noticing now how tired he was, his stamina sure wasn't as good as it should.

Heronflight was happy that Wolfsong was back, but he was concerned that his friend might collapse at any second.

"Who's that?" Stormpaw's expression was unimpressed as the stranger staggered into camp. The dark gray tom padded over, his summer-yellow eyes brushing briefly over the unfamiliar tom as if he wasn't worth the apprentice's time. "Some rouge you've befriended, Spotfur? Wouldn't it be better to put him out of his misery? He looks half-dead already." The tabby gave Wolfsong a small prod with his paw, waiting for a reaction.

Duskpaw ran and pressed herself against her mentor. He was back! "W-Wolfsong, i'm so happy you're alive and back! I-I thought we'd never get to spend time together!" she said with a breathless and relieved sigh. She then turned to glare at Stormpaw. "Wolfsong is my mentor!" she snapped. Her blue-green eyes were narrowed.

Goldeneye padded out of her den, at the mention of Wolfsong, she had treated the tom when he was an apprentice after a fox attack after all. The young medicine cat apprentice, stood next to the tom, sniffing his fur and concluding that the tom was just exhausted. She was about to speak to the tom when her step-son... Cinderpaw and Jaystreams son spoke aloud. Sure, Duskpaw took the time to snap at him, but she was not about to tolerate such behaviour.

Her hackles raised and gold eyes crackled with fiery rage as she turned on the young tom that she dared to suckle at birth, she could have let him die that night had she decided against feeding him, watching over him, teaching him. "Stormpaw! No cat raised you to be so vile! Wolfsong is our clan-mate, nonetheless a cat, not a beast to be put down. Show some respect, you of all cats should know what a gift it is to be alive." Goldeneye spat, why did she have to act as a mother? All ten of Jaystreams were raised by three she-cats, all which would have been able to teach them the basics of respect.

The medicine turned to look back to Wolfsong and Spotfur. "Bring him to my den for rest, I want to keep him for the night to make sure there are no issues." She ordered, tipping her head to her den before turning to glower at her son. "As for you. Go and cool off, don't come back until you've learned that your life could just as easily be put down." Goldeneye spat before dipping into her den after the two toms.

It took all of Spotfur's will not to give Stormpaw a claw to the face. "This 'rogue' is Wolfsong, an honorable warrior and my best friend. We thought an eagle had taken him to be killed, but somehow he made it back." He helped Wolfsong to Goldeneye's den. His friend was not to die today.

Wolfsong would have yelled at that ignorant and disrespectful apprentice if it wasn't because he feel like he was dying, he hated that Goldeneye would have to use her herbs on him when other cats might need them but he knew that if he had had the power to contradict they wouldn't care.
He open one of his eyes slighty and looked around the cave he had been her once before and he sure didn't like it here, this was a place you came to when you where hurt or sick.

Mud paw watched as the cat went to the med den. Mudpaw walked up to Spotfur with a worried face. "is he ok dad?" he asked Spotfur and looked at wolfsong in the med den.

Jaystream was in his den when a cat came rushing in claiming that Wolfsong was back. Late, the deputy stood up and left the den to join the rest of the group. He ran toward the wounded tom with a happy but concerned look at the same time. "Wolfsong! Welcome back!" He mewed cheerfully, greeting his clanmate with a friendly nudge. He noticed that Spotfur was carrying him to Goldeneye's den so he decided to help too. The tall tom offered his shoulder and together, they helped him to enter the medicine den.

After he was settled down there, the deputy approached Goldeneye. "Goldeneye... he got attacked by an eagle made his way here... I-Is h-he going to be okay?"

"Alright, alright..." Stormpaw took a step back, his yellow eyes narrowed as he was bombarded by cats left and right. "I've never seen him in my life! Honest mistake." He muttered, his feathery tail twitching. One remark stung him more than the rest- he could take Spotfur's remarks and Duskpaw's anger, but he never expected such a reaction from Goldeneye. "...you of all cats should know what a gift it is to be alive."
The fluffy tom huffed, trotting a few paces away to watch the proceedings with what he hoped was an unruffled gaze.
