Rainkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to hunt their own prey, gather beneath the willow branch for a clan meeting!" The deputy called as usual. More kits were getting ready to be apprentices and even if Riverclan was growing larger, the clan needed more warriors soon to train these new apprentices.

Rainkit looks up. This was the day. The day he dreamed of since he was a kit.

Raising his tail up solemnly, the tom fixed his green eyes on the small kit soon to be an apprentice. "Rainkit, please step forward."

The deputy waited for him to approach and once he was in the centre of the clearing, he proceeded. "Rainkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Rainpaw. Your mentor will be Viperstorm, who's currently finishing Adderpaw's training. I pray you can follow her guidance and join the warrior's den soon." He ended the ceremony with a brief dismissive flick of his tail. Jaystream jumped off the branch and joined the celebration for the new apprentice.
