Ghostkit reveals her eyes

"Yes, Ghostkit?" He asked in return.

"I don't want to go back to the nursery..." She said.

He was quiet for a moment. "Why?" He finally asked.

"I don't want to be with her."

"Don't let her know you know anything." He said. "And, I'll say you got a thorn in your pad when you ran out of camp. You can stay with me for the night."

Ghostkit nodded and went into the nursery to tell her mother.

"Wait, don't go. She'll know you're faking. I'll tell her."

Ghostkit stopped. "No she won't." Ghostkit ran back into the forest. She'd been there for a few minutes before a squeak was heard.

"Ghostkit?!"

Ghostkit came limping out of the forest. She smiled weakly.

"Ghostkit, that wasn't at all nescessary." He snapped.

'But at least if she comes into your den she'll know I wasn't faking." Ghostkit mewed.

Moonsage smiled. "Okay, okay."

"Can you help me? This hurts."

Moonsage shook his head. He said, "Hold still." He bit down on the thorn, and gently caressed it out. "Let's go put some cobwebs on this."
