Troops skip PT for the day

Brokenpaw woke up and stretched. The sun was shining into the apprentice den, and he got up and worked his way to the entrance to see the day. For almost his whole life so far it had just been cold outside, but today was different. As the sun covered his sleek body he quietly mumbled, "Mmmm warmth". Today would be the perfect day for running through the trees. He began to step out of the den when he remembered that Tinypaw and Drizzlepaw were still lazing in the den behind him. Although he was typically more of a loner, he had come to appreciate these other two apprentices. They were still more eager than he to become warriors, but had a much more laid back attitude about it that was as close to his own feelings as he had found in any clan cats.

He decided for them that they needed to join his adventure. "Hey, wake up lazy bones", he said to Tinypaw, who was the closet to him, as he nudged her roughly, but playfully. He glanced back and forth between her and Drizzlepaw, and said a little more loudly, "I feel like climbing to the sky instead of training today".

Tinypaw had been fast asleep, with no plan of changing the fact anytime soon, when Brokenpaw's voice cut into Tinypaw's slumber. Immediatly she buried her head under her paws, squishing her ears tightly to her head but that did nothing to stop the tom from nudging her. Groaning, Tinypaw rolled over closer to Drizzlepaw and kicked at her friend sleepily with one of her hind legs. "Drizzlepaw go entertain Brokenpaw so that I can sleeeeeep." The end of her sentance was whiny and followed quickly by a large yawn.

"Brickbrack?", he said. Was Drizzlepaw still dreaming or actually speaking to him? Whichever, Brokenpaw didn't have time to waste. "It's time to wake up, before the rest of the camp starts moving around." Brokenpaw didn't want to risk getting caught leaving before he was assigned to do training for the day, and wanted to make sure his friends got out with him too. It wouldn't be as great not to share the new excitement the warm sun had brought him. He playfully toppled Drizzlepaw over so that she squished down on Tinypaw, and then nudged them both repeatedly again. "Let's go you lumps, let's go."


OOC: It's cool, I've been sick now too.

"Oof!" Tinypaw grunted when Drizzlepaw rolled on top of her. At first she wondered if she could fall asleep despite the weight but when Drizzlepaw started to tickle Tinypaw's nose with her tail Tinypaw hissed in annoyance and poked Drizzlepaw in the stomache. "Get off me you fat badger." Her tone was sharp, but Tinypaw was always prickly in the morning and her two friends knew this. The words had only been out of her mouth a few seconds before Brokenoaw added his weight to the pile. "Oh my Starclan you two are horrible!" Tinypaw made no attempt to stay quiet as she squirmed her way out from under her two friends. "Alright! I'm up! Let's go."

"I knew I'd win you over," he stood himself back up proudly in front of Tinypaw. Brokenpaw looked to the other dumped over apprentice, "Come on, Drizzle, get up. Are you in too?"

Tinypaw rolled her eyes at both of her friend's antics and padded out of the den, speaking as she went. "Come on, we can catch our own breakfast out in the territory." She didn' wait for them, heading straight towards the camp entrance with a smirk on her maw.

He was about to tell Drizzle that they could hunt while they were out roaming, when Tinypaw said it for him. He watched her make her way out of the den and move straight for the camp's opening. He was impressed by her confidant padding as she left Brokenpaw and Drizzlepaw behind, and a little surprised she was the first one to walk out. Lost in his gaze, he realized himself and turned to Drizzlepaw, "Alright, well, you heard the lady. We hunt on our way. And I'm sure we'll find something pretty to look at while we're out, ok?" He motioned for Drizzle to follow after him.

The two apprentices quietly and swiftly caught up with Tinypaw. Brokenpaw kept his gaze on the she-cat as he sidled up next to her and kept her pace. "You really try to act like you don't want to do anything, but look at you leading the charge out of the camp. Seems like Tinypaw might be a little adventurous after all." He smirked at her.

She might not know it, but Tinypaw really was Broken's best friend. He loved spending time with her. She was so cool, calm, and didn't have a head full of warrior dreams. She was the best.

Walking alongside her, he almost forgot Drizzlepaw was with them. He motioned her with his tail to come along his other side, not wanting to leave anyone out. "We're practically a little family of rogues," he joked.

Tinypaw did her best to shake herself awake as she exited camp and looked out around the territory. Choosing to travel in the direction that the sun was rising, the fiery-pelted she-cat hoped the occasional beams of bright light in her eyes would help make her more alert. At Brokenpaw's teasing Tinypaw's smirk returned, though if it had ever left she didn't know, and she bumped his shoulder. "More like I just know that Tawneyfur likes to wake up early and I didn't want to get caught by her and forced to do chores or training." Despite her denial, Tinypaw actually was a bit excited. While she did love napping and lazing in the sun, she also loved finding new hidden spots for those activities. It made her feel more comfortable out in the territory, knowing that she had secret little pockets of peace all over the forest.

As Tinypaw looked back to Drizzlepaw, to make sure they hadn't left their friend behind, she chuckled at Brokenpaw's fatherly behavior towards Drizzlepaw just as he made note of them being like a family. Her soft laughter had just about died out when Drizzlepaw usual aloofness caused it to bubble back up. "No, It's a cat that belongs to no clan." Looking at Brokenpaw she responded to his previous comment teasingly. "If we're a family Drizzlepaw is definitly the kit."

(OOC: Should we move this to a topic in the territory or nah? Also, I can't help myself... Lord do you have romantic plans for Brokenpaw? >.>)

Brokenpaw loved when Tinypaw teased him back. And he was really enjoying himself already with both Tiny and Drizzle at his side. "Drizzlepaw, you're not a kit, are you? Don't worry, you'll be a warrior before Tiny and me, as much as we like to blow off training", he laughed as he bumped Tinypaw back. He wouldn't mind just staying an apprentice forever with Tinypaw he thought. We wouldn't have to be full warriors, which he certainly didn't want, and he would still have her to be his friend. He felt like she wasn't all that interested in being a warrior either, and that helped them understand each other more than any of the other cats from the camp.

"Now what do you say we get in the trees and go for a hunt?"

OOC: I guess it should get moved, I wasn't sure how that worked. I definitely think Broken and Tiny should get together.

At this point I don't think we're allowed to make another topic cause 2 gatherings have passed since this. maybe we can do a time skip to after they hunt?
