Exploration (Closed)

Icekit slowly stepped out into the open, the wind blowing in her face and nearly knocking her over. She observed the land around her, watching other cat's walk around and talk. The kit sat, holding her head up high, although she was somewhat nervous to see the world around her for the first time. Her tail flopped back and forth, and her eyes were darting around rapidly attempting to take everything in at once. "What a strange place" she thought with a curious expression.

Eventually, she decided to actually explore the place. Stumbling over every stone and twig in her path, the kit wandered around the area, curiously walking in circles around other cats until she became bored and decided to find somewhere else to go. She tried pouncing on leaves although she was no good at it and stepped on anything she saw move below her even if nothing was there. After some time of exploring, which wasn't very long, she approached a pile of sticks and leaves and lay down there, observing the rest of the camp with utmost curiosity.

Smokepaw bounded out of the apprentice den. He just had another sweet dream about forestpaw and was in a great mood. He noticed the new kit and smiled. "hey little one I'm smokepaw." he said smiling.

The kit looked up to see a cat standing near her, and said his name was Smokepaw. "Hello there, you're big and weird." She said with no shame, staring at the cat before her. The scanned him, looking at his appearance and watching his movements. She wanted to know everything about everything and had no shame in doing so.

He sat down and smiled. He was used to cats calling him weird. "i just became an apprentice so I'm happy to ask any questions you have." he said smiling down at her.

OOC: heck jumping in
IC: Sharptooth ducked out of the nursery, purring. She had closed her eyes for a minute, and already Icekit had snuck away. Luckily, the little she-cat hadn't wandered far. "There you are, little one." She mewed, nudging her youngest daughter gently before turning her attention to Smokepaw with a small laugh. "Are you back from your patrol with Ivyshade already?" She sat down, her tufted ears twitching. "How's training?"

Icekit looked over to see her mother, who gave her a small nudge and began talking to the other cat. She walked around the two in circles, curious to see what was happening. Her slow pace picked up into a clumsy run and she continued to sprint around them in circles, mewing slightly until her small paws failed her and she toppled onto the ground between her mother and Smokepaw.

Smoke paw smiled at sharptooth. "ya who knew she was as good a mentor as an adopted mother." he said smiling. "so far I'm just learning the basics but I'm getting better." he said then noticed icekit fall. "are you OK?" he asked her.

Icekit sprung back to her feet and glanced at the Smokepaw, although she hadn't heard what he said. Looking back towards the nursery, she waltzed her away from the distracted two and made her way towards it. She stumbled again and again as she walked, not quite knowing how to use her stumpy legs.

When she reached the entrance of the nursery, she looked back at her mother. She watched her for a moment before running back inside the nursery to catch some sleep. A short adventure was just enough for the small kit, and she did feel like doing anything more. Lazily, Icekit lay down and rested her head on her paws. After a few minutes, she drifted off into a comfortable sleep.
