Beetlekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Leopardclaw leaped onto the Highrock and called out; "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting!"

The kit perked his head up at the sound, his eyes round. Beetlekit didn't know how special today was, but still he got up and went to sit by the entry of the den. His mind buzzed as if it had a pawful of bees in it because of how curious he was about the ceremony.

Once the clan had gathered, Leopardclaw called out to the kit of honor;  "Beetlekit, step forward."  Once the kit had approached the Highrock, the golden spotted deputy began the ceremony.  "Beetlekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed.  From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Beetlepaw. Your mentor will be Dustcloud.  I trust that she will pass down all she knows on to you."

A sudden pride went through his chest, a shock going over him from ears to tail. Beetlepaw couldn't help but sway a little from surprise. His apprenticing ceremony was today? How did he not know..? The feline swallowed and flicked out his tail before dipping his head. "Thank you. I will train hard to be helpful to my clan..." Immediately after the words left him, shaking with excitement, he kneeded his claws into the ground to keep still. His spine was still buzzing from his joy.
