Regular Day (semi-open)

Ashstar sat in the middle of camp, letting herself relax. She knew that war with RiverClan was on the horizon, since they seemed determined to have it, but there was no point in worrying about it until it came... at least, that's what she told herself. But Mottleheart kept telling her that in order to be healthy, she needed to destress, and what better way to do that than to just observe WindClan's daily goings-on and interact with her Clanmates? The leader pushed problems such as war and Wolfpaw to the back of her head and stretched out in the leaf-bare sunlight, letting the day happen.

Featherlight stretched herself out not too far from Ashstar, trying to make the most of the day. Well, and also to force herself to socialize. She couldn't spend all her time in the medicine cat's den - especially not now that she wasn't just Featherpaw, the medicine cat's apprentice. No, now she was Featherlight, and the excuse of learning which herbs were which was no longer valid when she could recite them in her sleep. "Hello, Ashstar," she greeted her leader with a small smile.

Swiftstep just came back from a relaxing stroll in Windclan territory. He looked over at Ashstar's direction. When was the last time he saw his leader laying about? He shook his head and walked up to the leader. "Hello Ashstar! You seem rather calm today. It's a pretty day isn't it?" the warrior asked with a smile. The tom sat beside her and looked around at his clanmates.

Stretched out in the weak sunlight alongside Ashstar, Brindlewhisker's head rested heavily upon her forelegs as she continued to bask, her tail occasionally twitching as she did so. Watching the slow-going camp with heavy-lidded eyes, the Deputy exhaled a soft sigh that sent several nearby snowflakes whirling up into the chilly air around her. It felt..wrong to be relaxing at a time like this, especially with several threats looming so close in the distance, but she knew it was important that she didn't allow herself to be overcome with stress. Brindlewhisker's head lifted at Featherlight's approach and a soft purr rumbled in her throat at the sight of her daughter. "It's nice to finally see you out of the den," She began with a soft, teasing note evident in her voice, "Featherlight."

Reaching out with a forepaw, and practically throwing her back out in the attempt to reach her daughter, Brindlewhisker playfully prodded Featherlight between the ribs with a gentle forepaw. The sound of approaching pawsteps averted her attention from teasing her daughter, and the Deputy was greeted with the sight of Swiftstep. "It's a lovely day, thank StarClan." Brindlewhisker hummed in response to the tom's words, "I was getting quite fed up with the constant freezing rain and snow we've seen over the past few moons."

Hearing her pawsteps before actually hearing her voice, Ashstar opened her green eyes to see Featherlight walking up. The young she-cat was the best medicine cat WindClan could have hoped for, along with Mottleheart, despite the... extenuating circumstances she had been forced to deal with early in her apprenticeship. The leader smiled at her deputy's daughter, purring a wordless greeting. She nodded to Swiftstep as well when he walked up.

"It's a very nice day," she agreed with Brindlewhisker, stretching out languidly so her fluffy gray fur could receive more of the thin sunlight. "Hopefully newleaf is on its way... I don't really fancy fighting RiverClan with out low store of herbs. But the flowers are coming up, aren't they, Featherlight?" the WindClan she-cat added, remembering the walk she'd taken yesterday. "I believe I saw a few more buds in the goldenrod patch... and the prey is getting more plentiful. Didn't Lionpaw bring in an owl yesterday, Quailfeather?" Ashstar turned to her grandkit, who had begun to walk up behind her to join the small group.

With a half-smile of acknowledgement at being discovered- the lithe she-cat often tried to get the better of the leader, as a running joke between them- she nodded. "He's been doing very well with his training," the senior warrior agreed, settling down by the deputy. "Caught four pieces of prey, plus the owl, with very little help. I'm proud of him."

Featherlight purred in acknowledgement of her mother's words, and nodded a friendly greeting to Swiftstep and Quailfeather as they approached. "I think I had started to forget what the sun was like," she admitted. Leaf-bare was pretty in theory, but the charm of the layers of snow faded as quickly as the ability to find much-needed herbs did, combined with more cats getting sick and less prey to catch.

Softbreeze nervously approached his leader. Normally, she seemed so out of his league to talk to that he hadn't even tried, yet here she was, sitting in the middle of camp. He timidly settled down next to her, not touching but close enough that she would know he was sitting with her. "U-uh... beautiful weather?" It came out as more of a question than a statement, and Softbreeze cringed.

Lionpaw trotted through the camp entrance with a pair of rabbits clenched firmly between his teeth as he angled towards the Fresh-kill pile, the camp had been near deserted when he'd left several hours ago, yet now he saw a small knot of cats gathered around his Leader and curiosity got the best of the usually polite apprentice. As he dropped his prey he moved to where his mentor stood, offering an apologetic shrug, "No one was around when I woke up, so I thought I'd get a head start on the day's hunting," He told Quailfeather by way of explanation for having gone out on his own.

The young tom leaned towards his mentor with a curious note in his voice, "What's going on?" He mewed, "Did Ashstar call a meeting?"
