Lightkit's Apprentice Ceremony

”Let all cats old enough to hunt their own prey, gather beneath the willow branch for a clan meeting!” The tom called from the meeting branch. Goldeneye told him about this kit that was adopted by Nutfur and he had seen her before. It was obvious that the she-cat had some difficulties with her movement but she was improving and he thought that she was capable enough to start her training despite her condition. Jaystream wanted to give her a chance to prove her worth in the clan. Everyone deserved it.

Lightkit heard the call and the light Bengal she cat made her way from the nursery on slightly shaking ,but not as bas as it used to be ,legs but it didn't deterr the kit from becoming an apprentice. She made her way through and sat down looking at  Jaystream

Goldeneye padded out at the call, knowing that this was a very important ceremony. She next to her long-term patient, glad that the therapy she was putting the kit through was certainly helping. And perhaps, with the herbs, she might be able to treat it to the point that the symptoms would disappear completely.

The warrior looked at the small she-cat making her way to the meeting place with shaky legs. He gave her a kind smile before continuing the ceremony. "Lightkit, please step forward."

Once the she-kit came closer, he spoke again. "Lightkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and now it is time for you to be apprenticed. From now on you will be known as Lightpaw until the day you're ready to become a warrior. I'll be the one to mentor you." The deputy jumped off the Willow Branch and touched noses with the light spotted she-cat. He knew that she was going to have a special training and she needed a cat that would be willing to teach her with the medicine cat so she could overcome her mysterious disease.

Lightpae blinkrd and her blue eyes shined excitedly as she heard her mentor would be the deputy himself. She touched noses with him and smiled some.
