Best of January/February [Please give input!]

I'm trying to get this going. Anything before today is able to be put up for nominations. The winners will be outlined and featured in a master post that I will write up once this is all done with as much information about them as possible.

All characters, threads, or plots submitted with be done by everyone except for me. I plan on voting once all nominations and submissions are in, but will have no say in picking!

Basic Rules:
1. You can only submit TWO suggestions for each category, so choose carefully.
2. Voting will begin after we have a few options for each category.
3. Even if you have no desire to submit a nomination, you can still vote when that thread comes up.
4. Yes, you can submit your own character/plot. HOWEVER, please limit this to one of your two allotted nominations.

Character of the Month
Character Name: Specklefang
Why do you think this character should be chosen for character of the month? She gave up her life to make sure that Sharptooth would be protected, and thanks to her sacrifice RiverClan and ThunderClan are more or less now at peace, and Lionspark gets to go home early. Plus, she had suffered through so much heartbreak ever since she lost Thistlepaw, but now she gets to see her beloved daughter again and watch over and keep Leafstorm and her other children safe until they reunite with her as well.

Relationship of the Month
Character Names: Swiftstep and Fernfeather
Character Clan(s): WindClan
Relationship summary: Swiftstep was the first and only cat who approached Fernfeather about her hidden depression, and ever since he promised to help her rekindle the cheerful cat she used to be they were almost always together. Swiftstep's kindness and compassion was definitely something Fernfeather needed -- and still needs -- and in return she began working hard to genuinely smile and purr more for Swiftstep's happiness. The two quickly fell in love, and they will always be with each other no matter what happens to the other.
Why do you think this should be chosen for relationship of the month? It's a beautiful and very cute relationship. They both care deeply about the other's happiness and well-being. (That and this relationship was pretty much what saved Fernfeather from ending it all.)

Character Name: Spotpaw
Why do you think this character should be chosen for character of the month? Spotpaw has been brave enough to say what he thinks and he worked hard for others to consider him a loyal member of RiverClan.  His relationship with Brightpaw was an interesting one, and when foxes took the lives of Darkspirit and Brightpaw, you could feel his emotion.

Spoke his mind against Ivystar
Witnessed Darkspirit's and Brightpaw's deaths

Thread of the Month
Thread Title/Link: You can’t be cought unaware
Characters Involved:Ivystar, Blizzardstar, Leopardclaw, Flickerpaw, Specklefang, and more.
Thread Summary: Flickerpaw has just accidentally murdered a RC warrior, so Ivystar comes storming into TC camp. She takes  Flickerpaw away to where she is now an RC apprentice, and Specklefang sacrifices herself for,her daughter, Sharptooth, who had killed an an RC apprentice, by saying that she killed Rowanpaw, and ate deathberries for her punishment, even though she never did anything.
Why do you think this should be chosen for thread of the month? It’s just very intense. This intensified the war between RC and TC. TC looses one of their best warriors and an apprentice, just like how RC lost one of their warriors and an apprentice.  It’s just a very interesting topic to read, I can remember itching to see the next reply in this while it was still going.

Thread of the Month
Thread Title/Link: An Explanation Owed
Characters Involved: Sageleaf [former WindClan medicine cat] and Featherpaw (now Featherlight) [WindClan medicine cat apprentice]
Thread Summary: Sageleaf visits Featherpaw's dreams to give her closure with the mentor she thought abandoned her.
Why do you think this should be chosen for thread of the month?
Sageleaf and Featherpaw have an interesting mentor-apprentice relationship here. As distant as they are and as little time as they had together, they do still care for each other, although Featherpaw initially still isn't sure if she should trust Sageleaf. It's just sweet seeing them have a reunion like this. In addition, the whole story about everything that happened to Slatethroat is revealed to Featherpaw here.

(also i'm biased and love sageleaf)

Character Names: Rookpaw, Silentstrike, and Quailfeather
Character Clan(s): WindClan
Relationship summary: Silentstrike and Quailfeather adopted poor Rookpaw, who was found as a kit abandoned along the Thunderpath. Ever since then, they've done nothing but love and support her.
Why do you think this should be chosen for relationship of the month?
These cats have shaped Rookpaw's life so much and so beautifully. Not every relationship that's great has to be romantic, I feel, and their family dynamic is just so pure. It's also somewhat rare to see such a happy, functioning family in this modern day of the Clans.

Relationship of the Month
Character Names: Crowstar and Gustpuddle ;D
Character Clan(s): SkyClan and WindClan
Relationship summary: Crowstar is taking a trip to the Moknstone to speak with StarClan, and while he is coming back, he is attacked by a group of rats. Gustpuddle jumps in, not even knowing who she is protecting, saving the day, as well as saving Crowstar one of his two remaining lives. They go backt to the barn, where Gustpuddle nurses him back to health, and they talk a little bit and end up falling in love. Gustpuddle will have the kits either just before Crowstar loses his last life, or just after. Rippedsky will know about all of his, and Ripped has confirmed that if Gust brings a few of her kits to him, he will take them in and raise them as his own in SkyClan.
Why do you think this should be chosen for relationship of the month? Because first off, it started as a joke ship, and we started building on it so it turned out to be what it is now going to become. It’s very interesting to have a leader in a forbidden relationship, as well as a Senior Warrior, seeing as they should both know better. This will definitely cause some drama if the Clan cats find out, and if they don’t, then Gust has to liv with her secret after Crownis gone.

Character Names: Wildfire, Featherpaw, Flickerpaw, Dappledpaw, Wisteriapaw super smash sibs forever
Character Clan(s): ThunderClan (well, Flickerpaw is technically RiverClan, now).
Relationship summary: These five cats have been extremely close ever since they were kits. Even though Wildpaw and Flickerpaw teased Wisteriapaw, there's plenty of proof to prove that they still love each other dearly. They stood up for Flickerpaw when she was about to be dragged away by RiverClan. Featherpaw and Wisteriapaw fought off two SkyClan apprentices together. Dappledpaw stayed by Flickerpaw's side the entire time after she killed Fawnsong, and he was even willing to lie and say that he was the one to commit the murder.
Why do you think this should be chosen for relationship of the month? Seeing close sibling relationships is always pure, especially on a site where a lot of family relationships are broken and angsty. Sure, this relationship has some angst in it, but the five of them haven't split apart or anything. Siblings tease each other all the time, so it's only realistic that there's some teasing happening within the group. However, when push comes to shove, the five of them are willing to stand up for each other, protect each other, and love each other. It's easy to see how they've matured from a group of young, kit-like cats that were capable of tearing down the forest with their bare paws to a group of cats that care about their family, realize that there are problems in the forest, and are far more mature. Their group development and their solo development is insane. Long live Super Smash Sibs!

Relationship of the Month
Character Names: Lakewhisper and Snowblossom
Character Clan(s): Both RiverClan
Relationship summary: They first "met" on a patrol around the border that turned into a skirmish. The two bonded over their new apprenticeship and experience of the fight. They begin talking more and more, until Snowblossom (then Snowpaw) comes up on Lake when he's in his feelings (lol). They both open up a little to eachother while also being super awkward. They continue to have the awkward relationship of "best friends who secretly love eachother, until finally after moons of being a warrior, Lake confesses his feelings for her.
Why do you think this should be chosen for relationship of the month? They are literally the most adorable things ever, and I just think they need to be protected at all costs. They are super awkward around eachother because they both have these feelings they don't know what to do with, and they're trying desperately to shove them away and not let the other know. This relationship wasn't planned at all, but it's actually one of my favorite's that my character has been in.
