Featherpaw was slowly starting to come out of her shell. More often, instead of obsessively counting each herb in the medicine den, she would spend time just outside it. Today, she ventured a little further, closer to the center of camp, watching her Clanmates go about their daily tasks.

The medicine cat apprentice simply lay there, wondering if anyone would come to her - whether with a problem, or a question, or a statement. So many things could happen. For once, however, Featherpaw was in the mood to actually speak. To assist with those problems, answer those questions, respond to those statements. She did those things each day as part of her duties, yes, but rarely did she actively seek them out. That was the simple explanation for her presence in a spot she preferred to avoid much of the time.
