Causing Trouble and Scaring Queens

The sun had been gone for quite some time. The waning moon shone down on the open camp, glistening in the snow that blanketed the border and lighting up the clearing around Sorrelkit. As the she-kit poked her head up, she glanced around to see the queens sleeping in the nursery along with the other kits. However, she was wide awake. At first, she had spent a lot of time alone with her thoughts, trying to imagine what it would be like to be a warrior some day. However, it didn't take long for her to grow bored of her own thoughts. Getting up as quietly as possible, Sorrelkit tiptoed through the camp, trying to avoid the entrance guards as best as she could. Making her way through dirtplace, when she found herself in the clear, she darted out to see what lay ahead of her. With a quiet celebration, Sorrelkit pranced through the tall grass that surrounded her, proud of her accomplishment of successfully sneaking into the territory. Now all that was left was to explore all she wanted! What adventures would await her?

Artemis skirted through Windclan territory, avoiding any strong scents of Windclan and their patrols. As long as he was not stealing their belongings, he felt there was no problem with him using their territory to cut through. While Ashstar, unlike Blizzardstar, had not given him permission to do so, he was not causing problems for the moor runners. Besides, if he was going to reach his destination in time, then he had to hurry.

After a short while, he scented the Windclan smell a little stronger than before. Just over the horizon he saw a figure. The cat was certainly too small to be a warrior. Instead of heading away from the kit, he found himself padding closer. From what he gathered, clan cats weren't allowed to leave camp as a kit. Once he was close enough, a smile twitched at the edge of his lips as he meowed, "What are you doing so far from home, kit?"

As Sorrelkit ventured through the territory using only the light of the moon to guide her, she felt unstoppable. Surely none of the patrols would be out this late, right? However, as soon as a voice cut through the silence of the night, the she-kit nearly jumped out of her skin, her fur poofing up so that all that was left in her place was a giant puffball of hardly intimidating fur as a sharp gasp escaped her. Turning to the voice, her vision finally landed on a much larger figure than herself. "What are you doing not at home?!" She retorted, her tiny claws digging into the frosty dirt underneath her.

"Well, little kit, not only am I old enough to be out alone, but I also don't really have a home." For once, the thought bothered him. Despite hanging out in Thunderclan territory for the past moon, he was not apart of their clan. Testing the air once more, he was able to check that there were no more Windclan cats awake. The white warrior settled back on his haunches and settled his friendly blue gaze on the kit. Artemis spoke up once more, elaborating on his question, "I'm sure there is someone back at camp missing you right now."
