Broken, but Whole (Sign-ups Open)

This is an idea I had that has been wriggling around in my head. What happens when a cat has a perfect life, perfect everything... and it suddenly goes away? What happens when their plans for a future go down the drain and they are forced to adapt to the most difficult challenge of their life?

This is that story.

Meet Rook-kit, a young cat of WindClan who has a bright future ahead of her. She is a healthy, happy, and absolutely bouncing young kit who cannot wait to become a warrior and fight for her Clan! So she is apprenticed to a cat and spends time as an apprentice until she disregards a warning she was given and gets into danger. That danger leaves her permanently disabled and disfigured, shattering the possibility of her ever becoming a true warrior. Her injuries are so severe that it is assumed that she will die, so her Clan leader makes her a warrior before she goes to StarClan...

But she doesn't. Rookpaw survives and finds she can't do things like she used to. She is upset, mortified, and heartbroken. The next few moons see her exclusively in the medicine cat den and around camp while she recovers. Her Clan begins to see her as wasted potential and even a burden. Every day becomes a struggle for her... until...

She meets another cat. This cat (male or female) shows her kindness and goes out of their way to make her feel wanted, loved, and worth something. Perhaps she even goes back to her regular duties thanks to the help of the medicine cat and this other cat. The two fall ever deeper in love and either have kits or adopt. A perfect happy ending.

Or is it a happy ending, though? Her past is shrouded in mystery. She was found by the Thunderpath as a kit with ShadowClan and rogue scent faintly clinging to her pelt. With no one to care for her, she was taken into WindClan. Only time will tell what happens with this. Little does she know, her parents are Lizardtail of ShadowClan (my character) and Raven the rogue (Holly). On ShadowClan's side, they assumed Lizardtail's kits went missing and were actually Lilacfall's, as both died on the Thunderpath.


So now that brings us to roles! Obviously the leader and medicine cat will automatically be filled in, but there's the matter of other things...

What makes you perfect for this role?: Wolfpaw needs development, he's basically acting like an elder, wanting to sleep and watch and listen all day. He needs a plot, and is honestly kinda boring

...Generally, WindClan doesn't take in rogue (or part-rogue) kits, so it's not a given whether Ashstar would take in this kit. I've been taking in a lot of out-of-Clan kits lately, and it's getting kind of cliche.

However, I like this plot, so I'll do it! Just make sure not to assume things next time, always ask me first~

I would think that having the Deputy as your Mentor would really help paint the picture of having a more or less “perfect” life. What makes you perfect for this role?: Silent and Quail haven't had kids for a while, and they agree that it is time. When Rook comes around, they also agree that it would be the right move to adopt. Oddly enough, Silentstrike will also be half blind (most likely before this goes down.) They've had kits before, so they are definitely experienced.
How active are you?: On as much as possible. Ash is leader, so obv she is active.

What makes you perfect for this role?: Coyotekit was also found on the Thunderpath as a four-moons-old kit. She is a WindClan native but just doesn't remember her life before the accident and also broke one of her hind legs. The two can bond over their understanding of each other's pain, being in similar traumatic situations.
How active are you?: I usually check in multiple times a day, but at the very least every other day.
