Stonepaw, with a plump water vole clutched in his jaws, poked his head through the medicine cat's den entrance and glanced around. "Ugh.. hey Goldenpaw?" he called, his voice muffled from the mouth-watering fresh-kill he held in his jaws. As an apprentice, it was his duty to make sure the rest of the Clan was fed before he ate, that included the Clan's medicine cats. They were revered by all the cats in all the Clans, and especially to Stonepaw, for their work of service in healing them from their illnesses and wounds and also for their special connection to StarClan. He dropped the water vole to the floor and called out again, "Goldenpaw, I brought you some fresh-prey!"
