I Need Help (For med cat)

Nutfur walked into the medicine den, bracing herself for what she was about to do. Though the warrior code didn't say you couldn't lie to a medicine cat, she doubted anyone would approve. But it was for a dying kit. And the warrior code did say you must save any kit, no matter what clan or lack there of they were in. And if doing that meant lying to a medicine cat, she would have to do it. The wound on her shoulder had already started dripping blood, and though she doubted it had become infected, it was probably a good echo of Cobwebkit's wounds, on a smaller scale of course. All she would need to do was see what herbs were used to treat it, and heal the tiny tom she had left at the gorge. It was simple. As she stepped into the medicine den, she mentally repeated the words she had rehearsed on the way here. Now she had to say them out loud, and just hope they sounded convincing.
"Cloudstone? Goldenpaw? A WindClan warrior attacked me at the gorge, and my shoulder is hurt. Can I get some help?" Oh StarClan, did that have too much information to sound realistic? She hoped that she received no more questions on how she had gotten the scratch, and they just healed her so she could see what herbs were used. If she had to lie any more times, she felt sure that she would break and tell the truth. And she couldn't do that. Knowing Ivystar, what she was doing would probably not be tolerated.

Goldenpaw gave an exasperated sigh as she turned to look at Nutfur, stopping her storage sorting and padding over to her make-shift puddle and rinsing her paws, she had been delicately sorting out the deathberries, she had no immediate use for them but she never knew if she had to use drastic measures for certain situations. Flicking her paws and licking them clean she padded carefully over and parted the she-cats fur, squinting at the wound.

"What cat is dumb enough to fight at the gorge? Not even Riverclan cats could get out of that mess if they fell in." Goldenpaw huffed, getting to her paws and pulling a couple petals of Goldenrod off and chewing them while swirling some cobwebs onto her paw and hopping over to smush the Goldenrod into the older she-cats wound, topping it off with Cobwebs to keep everything in, blood included.

"I didn't start the fight, he did. But thanks for helping," Nutfur mewed. She was rather taken aback by Goldenpaw's attitude, but very relieved that she hadn't asked her further questions. It was bad enough that she had to lie again. She watched very carefully as her wounds were treated, memorizing the scent and look of the herb used. What was it called again? She racked her memory, finally recalling the herb's name. Goldenrod. She just needed to get some of this, get it to Cobwebkit, and he would survive. But where in StarClan's name did one find this? Her eyes widened slightly as she remembered seeing some in the wide field near the gorge. It was almost too perfect to be true. For the moment, she just let the medicine cat apprentice heal her, now optimistic about the kit's fate. It was almost enough to quench her guilt of lying to a medicine cat.
